Its quite expensive though isnt Bisc - I mean £8?
Could be a good way to collect the films though (if most of us didnt already have them).

It seems to me that HKL are just getting rid of their older discs. We know Fist Of Fury & Drunken Master are getting re-releases, and it wouldn't surprise me if they re-release Once Upon A Time In China with a remastered transfer...

Me to but a Platinum OUATIC would be awesome. I've kept my HKLs though for the extras.

I wonder if it's the same DVD or a bare-bones release.

I see Prison on Fire 1&2 and The Heroic Trio are listed among the titles shown in the demo box set. That can't be right as they haven't even had seperate releases yet? I can't see HKL sticking them out on the cheap.

Mark where did you see Prison on Fire and the Heroic Trio? I can see only 4 issues so far (Fist of Fury, Drunken Master, Once Upon A Time in China and The Killer).
Did you notice that the "storage box" they have for the DVDs makes them have identical cover art all the way down?

Do you mean number 2 Mark? Because all you get is the box/binder you don't actually get any DVDs. It's one of the free gifts.

The "demo box set" you clearly refer to is in "it" being the free gift box, Mark.

Check your English before making assumptions :D

p.s - It's just a picture Grim.

Well, duh!!

I can read!!

Look at the titles of the DVDs that are shown as being in the complete set. They include Heroic Trio and Prison on Fire 1 & 2.

I didn't assume anything. All I did was bring those titles to your attention. I have no idea if those are the actual ones that will be released with the mags to form the box as shown. But if you look at the box order the first four confirmed titles are correctly placed.

Executioners is also on that box set shot.

What's with all the titles having 18 certificates? I know for sure that Drunken Master, Police Story & Once Upon A Time In China have 15 certificates, and I'm pretty sure from memory that Swordsman is a 12...

IM, I'd imagine those are all test/display covers. Unless all the DVDs have 18 rated trailers on them, thus making them 18's.

I see know reason why we wouldnt get a whole feature film on the DVD, but as you say we've all got these DVDs, so pointless in buying them.

I've always wondered by Brits love these stupid collectible magazines. That crap has filtered down to NZ/Oz for as long as I can remember. The latest rubbish ones I've seen on the shelves down here is for Star Trek and Stargate SG-1, packaged with DVDs. In the long-run it'd probably be much cheaper just to get the season boxsets.

They have "City on Fire" in this box twice. And on top of that they re-titled it to "City of Fire".

While I could possibly want some of those magazines, I don't see that I'd like to pay for the film ... again ... :-/

This is almost a slap in the face for their collectors - but I can see why they are doing it (to get more circulation).
So long, and thanks for all the fish!

HKL just sold the permission to DeAgostini to sell some of their films with the new magazine. It's not an official HKL magazine.

IronMonkey I'd think that the covers you see are test covers, unless all of them have 18 rated trailers on them.
