Yeah, back then it didn't matter if it was 'Politically Incorrect', or 'violent', or whatever. Just great visual slapstick hardcore FUN.

TBH, the closest I've seen, quality-wise, to those old cartoons, is probably that 'Presto!' short by Pixar, which was fantastic.
