What do you hate MOST about surfing the internet?
For me, it would be...
- sites that require you to register and log-in to view their content.
- sites that uses flash (lots of korean and chinese movie sites have a tendency to go completely overboard with lousy flash-sites that take ages to load and are hard to navigate...)
- when you go to a page, and it doesn't allow you to use the 'back' button anymore, kinda LOCKING you on the page... bastards.
Anything else?

Movietyme does that. Some forums do also. Like I'm gonna join a fourm without lurking first.Yi-Long wrote:- sites that require you to register and log-in to view their content.

Why not? What's the big deal? If you join a forum, and don't like it, just don't post. You can then go to it now and again for bargains or good deals. You're not signing your soul to the devil if you join a forum.

The big deal, for one, is that it takes a couple of extra minutes out of our time, which sucks, plus, like most people, I don't use the same password at all the sites, so remembering it all is a bitch as well... especially if you just wanna browse on a forum. Some forums won't let you see the threads unless you are logged in. Well, I clear my cookies and all that shit a couple of times a week, but when I visit a forum, I dont wanna log in each and every time, especially if its a forum I hardly post on, or just wanna check out the news.brooce-leroy wrote:Why not? Sometimes, someone links to another forum like when Mark wants to point out an interesting thread to us, which is on his favourite barbie-forum, and it will be for registered users only... which just plain sucks cause it means we would have to register just to check out what Mark is so excited about...
BTW, ofcourse I hate pop-ups as well, but doesnt everybody already have a pop-up stopper installed?
I also quite hate it when people dont have a usefull side-bar or at leasta link to the homepage on it... like when you get on a site through google, and you wanna check out the rest of the site, and there's no HOME button or something to press, meaning you'll have to manually delete part of the url to go to the homepage...
Another thing about Google: When you search for pictures, and you see a cool one, and you click it, and the page doesnt exist anymore! THEN DONT FUCKING SHOW THE PICTURE!
People who make a website that automatically starts playing music, should be shot DEAD! I Can't express the amount of anger that goes through me when you are calmly surfing the internet at 3 AM, all forgetting that 8 hours ago you played a song quite loudly... so your speakers are still on, on max volume, and suddenly some idiot with an 'HOW TO IRRITATE YOUR WEBPAGE-VISITORS FOR DUMMIES' book, has decided his site needed the latest Britney Spears song to automatically start playing as soon as someone comes across his page ...
Bastards.

I agreee 5000% with thatgojensen wrote:What I hate is people posting lies as facts.
Even more so if it's because of their own ignorance.
Don't trust the internet...
I write a lot on the net and when I get something wrong I do feel bad, some people couldnt care less and make stuff up to get kicks. I wish I was like that and could post lies and feel ok with it.

Oh come oooon... whoever really WANTS to steal, will know how to do so and the first thing he'll do is to check his temporary internet files.
Paste this code into the Firefox address bar and it will let you right click on that annoying site. You need to type it each time though:
javascript:void(document.oncontextmenu=null)
I've created a button on my toolbar called "Enable Right Click" and just click it when sites won't let me right click. Problem sorted.
I don't "think" it works in IE.

* Sites which add postage later
Free postage is so much easier, sure it's not really free but I don't care it makes my life much easier. I don't have to waste time looking through their FAQ or even putting something in my cart just to find out how much postage is.
* Sites where the web designer has used code to circumvent pop ups :x , so we still bloody get them.
* Those annoying porn sites which offer you all the best filth in the world for FREE but then make you give credit card details for so called security anyway
Do they really think I'm stupided enough to give them my credit card?
* Porn sites and the like which try and trick you to download a third party EXPENSIVE dialer.
Those who don't have XP SP2 don't for example, most don't anyway.

I Agree about free postage to a point. If you're ordering from abroad and the DVD costs just under £18 without postage but over with it included, then it can be extremely useful saving you a customs Bill and £4 to the Post OfficeAnother thing about Google: When you search for pictures, and you see a cool one, and you click it, and the page doesnt exist anymore! I agree I hate pop-ups which pop up even if you've got a pop up blocker!
I couldn't agree more about the picture search on Google
:x :x
I also hate having to sign up to a forum before having a chance to lurk for a while for similar reasons as Yi Long
