Premier League 2004/05 Fantasy Game!

Absolutely fucking TYPICAL!!!!

I bring Pires in....nothing.

the moment I transfer him out....HE SCORES!!!

Still Henry got a goal and assist, but then everyone has him so it's a pointless thing anyway.

Roll on tomorrow, I reckon

grim_tales · Post by **grim_tales** » 13 Nov 2004, 15:27

HOLY CRAP!!!

o

o
That was one of the best games of football I've ever seen!

Great stuff, both sides were really fighting in the 2nd half, you could see they really wanted it

Arsenal were a bit poo in the 1st half IMO so it was a surprise when they scored right at the end (Henrys goal) but they were better in the 2nd half. It was really exciting, I thought Pires's goal wouldve killed the game.

Good win for Arse though

Laevolus · Post by **Laevolus** » 13 Nov 2004, 18:19

Wahay, I take it back, I dropped Pires, yeah, but I brought in Lampard, he gets a goal AND an assist!! Yes!!

Is my luck finally changing? I've caught up on everyone on the league today so far, lets see how the Everton game finishes though

Hey,

Results after GW 13 (Day 1) - West Brom v Boro and Newcastle v Man Utd still to play...

You see how much a jumped up the table there!!! Kick-ass!!!

Even though there are still some games to go this week, I'm now right up there fighting for 2nd place!

If I get another week like this then I think I could even challenge for the top spot!

Definitely one of the best weeks I've ever had in the FF game, this year and last.

grim_tales · Post by **grim_tales** » 14 Nov 2004, 19:09

I only got 1 extra point today

Anyone know who I should swap for Clement (West Brom) - defender.
He is crap and is costing me points.

He will get me £4.1m if I sell him.
What about Flood of Man City?

D'oh!

Laev you leapfrogged me again as Rooney has actually started to play now!

I hope next week I have a week like this one so I can get back in contention.

Laevolus · Post by **Laevolus** » 14 Nov 2004, 19:17

Wahay, that better, 69 (tee hee hee) points this week now, thanks to Nistelrooy AND Rooney remembering where the fucking net is

And United won as wel!.

More please

D'oh, now everyone's leapfrogged me again and I'm down in 7th place.

Results today....

Arsenal drew

Chelski drew

I've done quite well today though I think, Melberg (Villa) will play on Monday. Swapped Routledge (Palace) for Macan (sp?) (Villa) on a free transfer.

Arse play Liverpool next week

Arse v Chelski will be the big crunch game in December

WHERE IS EVERYONE? Why am I the only person here?:wacko:

Erm, hello, I'm here as well!!

Good day for United today, pulled a couple of points back on the big two.

Didn't helpo my fantasy team though, rooney, nistelooy and henry all didn't score, but Francis of Norwich got two, which saved me and put me on a decent score with everyone else. Depends on VIlla on Monday now

grim_tales · Post by **grim_tales** » 20 Nov 2004, 20:34

Hi Laev!

I didnt expect Chelski to draw too! I should of made Pires my captain
Hopefully Henry will score next week and help my fantasy team. Gravesen did well this time and even Jaidi scored!

Who is Hey See Me Lamb - Full Tense???

Laevolus · Post by **Laevolus** » 28 Nov 2004, 10:03

Dunno, don't remember seeing the name before....has he or she just joined?

Anyway, I had another not bad week, but it's make or break time for me now, just done FOUR transfers to boost my team, sharing far too many players with other teams in the league, so I've dropped some of the lesser scoring high players for similar scoring cheap players and I've managed to be able able to afford Paul Scholes as well now

So that's Henry, Nistelrooy, Rooney, Scholes and two defenders from Villa.

I'll either win it now or fall apart......................probably the later

Cost me 12 points though, drops me down 3 places!!! Lets hop it's worth it!!

grim_tales · Post by **grim_tales** » 28 Nov 2004, 10:32

I think Full Tense was on old Bullets, don't know his real name though.
I need Henry to put a few past 'Pool

But I bet I'll be saying after today "If only I made Terry captain...."

grim_tales · Post by **grim_tales** » 04 Dec 2004, 16:01

GRRRR I'm having a really bad week because the results are not what I tjought they'd be

Villa 0 - 'Pool 1

Everton 0 - Bolton 1

Pompey 1 West Brom 1

Maybe some of my Villa/Everton players will get better in the 2nd half, and if Arse could score more that would even better

Pires scores again

I bet if I make him my captain next week he'll score nothing

grim_tales · Post by **grim_tales** » 07 Dec 2004, 10:05

Well I had a pretty good week all things considered. (67 points). I put Charlton (Norwich) on the bench cos he didnt score this week, so not really sure why I bought him

, and put a similar scoring midfielder (Watson of Crystal Palace) on instead (saves me having to do a transfer).

I did do a transfer anyway, and bought back Stefanovich (Pompey) for Charlton (Norwich) because Pompey play twice this week

I'll probably sell him next week though.

Anyone know any good, cheap defenders? I have Terry, Melberg, Stefanovich and Jaidi in my squad at the mo. Not sure if should hold onto Berger either...??

I'm not sure who I can swap Stefanovich for though - I only bought him because Pompey played twice this week

I also can't afford Downing in place of Berger - he is too expensive by £100,000

Are you allowed to have negative money in the bank? (ie -£0.1m and stuff?)
I was also thinking of swapping Jaidi for Pistone - grrr, what to do?!

If I did I could buy Downing the next week....

grim_tales · Post by **grim_tales** » 16 Dec 2004, 17:10

Arse play Pompey on Sunday and Chelski play Norwich - which I cant see them (Chelski) losing, maybe Blackburn will snatch a point at Everton, who knows?
I think Arse are playing a bit better again now though, the Chelsea game was a great game of footy on both sides even tho it was a draw

grim_tales · Post by **grim_tales** » 18 Dec 2004, 16:45

I sold Berger as he is not getting enough points and bought Downing (Boro) instead.

I cant see Berger doing very well against Arse tomorrow anyway if they play well
