Nomad - WOW!!! Trailer inside...

Post by thelostdragon »

Hey,

a friend of mine just returned from visiting his homeland, which is Kazakhstan. He told me about a Kazakh movie he watched there at the theatres which supposedly starrs Jason Scott Lee and Marc Dacascos. It takes place in the 18th century and he told me that it is made in the styöe of "Braveheart" in terms of battles etc...

Checked it up on IMDB and the rest of the internet and came up with this cool website:

http://afan.dk/dacascos/fi_nomad.shtml

Here is the IMDB-link:
http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0374089/

Do you know anything about the story or why do you expect the star to look ethnic?

Have you downloaded the file with 'Save Target as...'?

If so, do you have DivX or Xvid installed?

I've downloaded it but when I opened it (my PC uses WMP as the default thing for playing videos) I got "Error downloading codec" so I get the audio of the file but not the video :?

I use WMP as well, but you might be missing certain codecs which enable avi-files to be played visually in WMP as well.

Weird. It's just a DivX 5.0 file with Mp3.
I used to be "the man who loves the movies you hate".
Now I'm just "that weird french guy with a cat avatar who comes to BnB once a year for no reason and then disappears again".

Dude, download the XviD codec (can play DivX's). It's an open-source competitor to DivX and is superior too.

Mark's epic upcoming film, "Nomad," has been picked up for domestic distribution by Harvey Weinstein and is scheduled for release in Fall, 2006.

Thanks LD.

How original:

"His best friend is Erali - they even fall in love with the same girl."

Now if they wanted to be original they'd say:

"His best friend is Erali - they even fall in love with the same boy." :wink:

Nah DivX is better IMO. Besides it's best to use both for each codec. I have both installed and let each run their own codec.

It has much more options, especially if you're encoding.

This looks like it could be good but also:

* Looks very clichéd
* Seen it all before
* Why does it HAVE to be in English? So many films are almost ruined because of this.
