The Bradster has left the building! - PLUS Holiday Photos!
Don't worry (for those who care) I'm not leaving Bullets for good.
I just am going on holiday for 3 weeks to Saturday to Thailand and Vietnam. I've not been to Thailand for 3 years (so can't wait) and have never been to Vietnam before.
I can't wait to see my Thai friends again after so long and see the country generally. I can't wait to see Vietnam too.
Hence why I've not posted much lately + I'm very busy with work at the moment and simply don't have time to post.
I'll post properly again when I return.

Have a nice trip, Brad
I've never been to either country, but they are both on my list. You'll have to let me know how Vietnam is. I was planning on going and staying in the Phan Thiet area last year but had to postpone for financial reasons. I still really want to visit though! (along with every other country in eastern Asia

Hi guys and dolls. Thanks guys.
Just a quick message to say Hi from Sunny Vietnam. I'm having a top time. The weather is great, as are the people.
I landed in BKK, Thailand on the 18th of September. I spent that evening catching with my Thai friend (her name is 'Koy') who I'd not seen for 3 years, so lots to say.
I didn't do much on the Monday bar catching up on the BKK scene. I spent an hour or so wandering around the excellent MBK department store. Shopping for DVDs and generally wandering around. I then saw Seven Swords (Oh Yes!) followed by catching up with my Thai friend again.
On Tuesday evening I visited the Patpong night market (
, do a Google search) and bought 4 film t-shirts of:
Ringu
2046
Reservoir Dogs
Scarface
They had lots to choice from, Old Boy for example. Cheap too. I also participated in other activates. I’ll let you guess!
On Wednesday I flew to Vietnam, Saigon (aka - Hi Chi Minh City). On Friday I visited the famous Cu Chi tunnels where the Viet Cong fought the South Vietnamese and American during the war.
The Cu Chi tunnels intro video was full of propaganda crap. I can sum it up in one sentence: "Bad Americans killed lots of defenceless Vietnamese who all smelt of roses". Yeah Right!
The guide and video neglected to mention what we all know, that being the war was not the American vs. the Vietnamese. Far from it! It didn't portray the Americans in a nice or accurate light.
I got the distinct impression they were trying to re-write history. Ho Chi Minh (the communist from the North) seems to be hero hear, interesting!
Let me tell you the tunnels are VERY, VERY, VERY tiny. We all crawled through them; they're no higher than 1m and about the same in the width. Its amazing people used to live in them.
On Saturday I went on the Mekong Delta River and spent the day on a guided tour which was cool.
Today (Sunday) I flew to Hanoi and really lucked out with my hotel. The room is HUGE, has TWO double beds, is bigger than most bedrooms and gas FREE Internet in the room (+ computer). This is rare! All for 35 bucks a night.
Vietnamese Dong is pretty worthless outside of Vietnam. You can't get it in the UK. FYI its 15,000 dong to the US dollar and 28 to the UK pound. The average will set you back about 30,000 dong so VERY cheap. They take US dollar which is easier (the smallest dong is 2,000 and a right pain to hand over stacks of notes).
I've left out one of the best parts. On the Friday during my tour of the Cu Chi tunnels I started talking to this Korean lady (very cute) who was 26 and her 28 year old Japanese shucks. For Japanese/Koreans they spoke very good English (not fluent), which made a nice change. They said they studied in Australia for a year.
After the tour I met up with them for drinks, which was lots of fun. Luck had it that strangely we had also booked the same tour to the Mekong Delta so spent the next day together. In the evening we had dinner together. They flew back to Japan today (Sunday).
I've got their e-mail addresses and we've agreed to meet up next year, great excuse to visit Japan if you ask me!
I can't really put my finger on what it is but Asia is really one of the most exiciting places on earth. You think Asian films are exciting!
Anyway take it easy. I'm back home on the 9th of October so 2 weeks to go. Yipeey!
BKK of course, Saigon and Hanoi. I've been to most parts of Thailand thus far but will probably spend some time on one of the Islands in my last week. I've not decided.
p.s - You guys love Asian films so much yet haven't visited, jeez
. Get a taste of the real deal!

How close you are to the truth. Not in me tonguing a Katoy (Thai word for Transsexual) but they are completely accepted. You see Katoy's all over BKK.Yeah, enjoy the trip, and don't tongue anyone who has an adam's apple!!
ThanksHave a good time, Brad. What city will you go to?

Hello everyone
You can now all look at my photos from my recent 3 week holiday to Thailand + Vietnam. As usual my website is:
www.AlexMcCaffrey.net
The photos in all their glory can be found in the Photo Diary. For those who want a background to 1 of the 3 weeks they can read my journal (it's not long) in the Journal section.
Highlights would be:
1. The Cu Chi Tunnels - Vietnam
2. Ha Long Bay - Vietnam
3. Patpong - Thailand
If anyone wants some background detail on any photo just ask.
Enjoy!

They certainly are. Those pictures show a very accurate portrayal.
I'd have preferred to take a few of my own photos but didn't dare take my camera.
A few are mingers but most are uber hot. Let's face it though if you're slim (90% of Thais are), young and have long dark hair it's not hard to look nice.
All Thai women no matter how poor they are also make a big effort to look immaculate.
Here's an extract from an e-mail I sent my mates:
Around the dancing stage were masses of men and semi-naked ladies walking around (bra and panties) the joint. I sat down and bought a beer, within minutes a lady worked up to me and sat down. Let me tell you know she was UBER HOT, 10 out of 10. She had long sexy as you like legs, a cute ass, nice round titties and a pussy to die for.
How do I know this? Well when she sat down she didn't sit down on a bar stool, no she sat on me and rubbed her ass against my cock, this was nice! She then took my right hand and put it on one of her breasts followed by taking my left hand and puts it down her panties. This was a nice surprise!
There's more but it gets really sordid from this point on
. Needless to say they know how to fuck!
p.s - Thanks Recon. I love travelling and especially when I'm in Asia.

The Cu Chi (which is a village) tunnels were an experiance too. It's nuts to think people lived in them for months on end during the French (independence) and especially American wars.
Let me tell you the tunnels are VERY, VERY, VERY tiny. We all crawled through them; they're no higher than 1m-1.5m and about the same in the width. Its amazing people used to live in them. We only crawled through 300m worth but it felt like forever, they're mostly made from clay.
Ha Long Bay was gorgeous. It looked like it was lifted from a James Bond film ("The man with the Golden Gun" I think).

Saw a simular t-shirt in HK...
The chinese dont like Bush either btw. an uncle of my girl, and his friend told me they absolutely hate the USA and Bush, because they always wanna play the boss and tell other countries what to do etc... while they themselfs always go out to war and bomb people and have the biggest army and the most dangerous weapons etc...
I agreed with them about some of their concerns, although their statement that ALL americans are bad, I ofcourse strongly disagreed with... and told them so...
Ofcourse, it was mostly the booze talking on their part, that made them make such extreme statements...
I'm sure they meant it, but they were a bit more 'black-white' then you would expect from a sober and/or rational person...
Anyway, from what I heard from a friend of my girl, many chinese feel the same way, although they dont really seem to pay too much attention to world-politics, and if they do, they don't really show it...

I know that picture is nuts. I took that one with my digital camera.slasher13 wrote:I take it Thai's don't like George Bush either?
The t-shirt is sold all over Bangkok, particulary the various night markets. Not in the department stores though!
I suspect it's more to do with these sort of t-shirts sell more than the Thais not liking Bush.
From what I can gather that's common in Asia. Most Asians don't want to lose face or stand out by disagreeing with the norm.Yi-Long wrote:Although they dont really seem to pay too much attention to world-politics, and if they do, they don't really show it...

Welcome back, mate!
This must have been one hell of a great time you had there. Argh... I so wanna go to East Asia again.
Saw this picture:

'The Machinist' anybody? LOL! I was glad to see the other pictures with you, because both of you look kinda different in that one.

She looks uber-sweet as well.
So wait... who is that other Asian woman you are with on some of the pictures? Don't tell me your girlfriend. If yes, did she know you went to that GoGoGirls-club?
