It looks interesting. Well Go USA plans to release this here in the States on the same day as in China/HK. I think thats a first for a US distributor.

Wow that's amazing. Jackie's non US films are all going straight to video in the UK now, or get super-minuscule theatrical releases..

Yes but thats for a reason in my eyes, they on the whole are poor. They do not deserve theatrical releases at all.

So does that mean the pic quality/subs will be below videophile standards then? Im solely basing this assumption on how they handle the shaw bros. discs.

Subs should be fine. New releases are probably always handled by the film production company, so it's in their interest to make them good.

I enjoyed this.

There was obviously tremendous effort put into production, but I felt the film could've been 10 or 20 mins longer at least.

Apparently there are 6(?) deleted scenes on the Well Go release, but I can't find any details about their content. :?:

*but it was evident Jackie didn't return to dub himself (despite being quoted as working hard on his period dialect for the film) and the sound effect track, foley of gunshots and shell cases dropping, reloads etc. sounded very cheap.

A better film was trying to get out, but didn't quite make it.
