My name is Jeroen, but my chinese neighbour who couldn't pronounce Jeroen always called me Yi Long, which is where my nickname came from.

Having a chinese girlfriend, in-laws and mostly chinese friends, many of them just call me Yi, which is perfectly fine with me, cause Jeroen is a stupid name anyway

Not that this has ANYTHING to do with Bond ofcourse... apart from the fact that Jeroen Krabbe was in Living Daylights, and he has absolutely no-one calling him Yi. Sad bastard.

I think it's a case of ignorance over preference.

Preference over ignorance. It suits the films but I'm repeating myself.

These aren't Martial Arts films with long one-on-one fight sequences (where it does annoy me). I'm not saying it wouldn't work less close up but it works for these films IMO.

Very interesting article here about the "lost script" for what became Casino Royale - very different from the lame spoof of 1967. Imagine if they had made something close to the Daniel Craig version, but in the 60's.

Interesting article thanks Grim. I didn't realise the Bond love story in Casino Royale was in the book. It felt a little tacked on. So Bond's been in love twice then.
