IMDb says the film's 110 minutes, so I guess not :(

I can confirm that the NTSC running time for the uncut version is 111m

I sincerely hope that the New Line runtime is a mistake. If not then it's a major disgrace. To cut anything out of a film is unecessary, but to cut 18m is a fucking joke!

Ironically the International distributors, Miramax, have released the movie uncut in Europe. It's been on TV in the UK at least twice.

Yeah I recorded it off TV, and I believe it is the uncut version.

Based on all the info from the old Thunderbolt thread, Miramax have never cut this movie (yet) so keep your fingers crossed.

Do Miramax own New Line then? :?
As Gasteropod says, the uncut version has been on TV several times on BBC2 I'm sure.

I hate this movie, since jackie is being doubled in the fights and the stunts, since he was injured from rumble in the bronx..

Its obvious to see also when you look carefully....

@Grim:
It's a masterpiece compared to trash like Rumble and Mr Nice Guy. :)

I thought Rumble was good! :D You know its the same plot as Bruce's WOTD? ;)
At least Rumble/Mr Nice Guy feel more "Jackie" than the Rush Hour films (IMO)

This film is awesome, but not as good as my favourite Chan title City Hunter.

Perhaps this is the second best.. hmmm...

The strobe fighting was kinda trippy woah. :o

I liked Mr Nice Guy - apart from the boring ending.

For Grim. re Thunderbolt:

New Line own the US rights
Miramaxe the international rights (excluding Asia, I think).

I haven't seen Thunderbolt. IMO Rumble in the Bronx is awesome, Mr Nice Guy is ok.

I quite liked Thunderbolt, as it has a good story, a nice supporting cast, and the movie has a nice pace to it and not too much of the usual Jackie-crap, like him behaving like an infant or something...
Plus, Anita Yuen is gorgeous :)

Mr Nice Guy is pretty lame... it's with him being a chef, right? Pretty boring movie and a pretty weak supporting cast...

... and although Rumble i/t Bronx also has many weak points, THAT movie I actually thought was pretty entertaining... certainly not very good or whatever, but just nice to watch if you just want some dumb, funny movie with nice action...

I've only seen the dubbed version of City Hunter btw, but I didnt really like it. It was too over the top and just not very funny or interesting. it had a couple of nice boobs in it, though... but that were pretty much the only plus-points.

I was there, the big BNB blackout of november, 2008. We lost many that day...

And excluding Germany. Over here, Kinowelt owns it.

I always thought it was funny that Anita's character (the reporter) is called Amy Yip :D

Did Kinowelt not get it from Miramaxe? Perhaps Miramaxe then only garnered the rights for certain European territories?

Well, if my friend was in a film with him, doesn't that make him my friend too? :D

I don't rate Mr Nice Guy very highly but it's not particularly bad but Rumble in the Bronx is fantastic and one of my favourite Jackie Chan movies.

Going back to the topic of Thunderbolt I think most disappointing aspect of this DVD release is that it's got an English 5.1 soundtrack while only a stereo Cantonese soundtrack. In my opinion the Cantonese soundtrack should also have been in 5.1 sound.

Surely the most disappointing aspect is that it's cut.

It's only 2 seconds. I'm with Sky 8)

So this is essentially the Spanish DVD right?
