There's currently only one version. The LE.

Re: BATTLE ROYALE SE BR/DVD
Correct. Until the 5,000 DVDs and 10,000 BDs are sold out, of course.
Disc 3 is a DVD btw so likely has PAL extras, the BD extras are probably PAL too.

Seems like the pre-orders have been selling like hot cakes so I would expect the regular version to hit stores early in the new year.

Good news, thanks. I believe Anchor Bay BDs have been good.
They've also picked up the BR 3D rights too. AB are also releasing it in to American cinemas, pity that's never gonna happen here. I still say Battle Royale would work well in 3D (as long as the 2D version was still available obviously).

Yeah Halloween's good, and the other one I've seen is Hellraiser which was also good (shame the film wasn't).

Re: BATTLE ROYALE SE BR/DVD
Evil Dead is what I would say is their glorious best disc
The other ones yeah some are nice, but with more work could be stunners. Many people dont seem to like their transfers of many classics, yes many are upgrades, but we know with cash/time they could shine up much, much better.
Hopefully Evil Dead is the turn of a new chapter, as really the work that went into that makes me smile at what they may do with future and even past releases
re-release some of their current older discs again with more care and I may have to buy them again.

Actually I've got Withnail and I. Which is good but avoid the 5.1 remixes. Technically they're fine but the remix is awful (it's the same one used on all releases). Stick to the Stereo and there's no complaints.

Re: BATTLE ROYALE SE BR/DVD
I may double dip if theres a new commentary and stuff and the old ones arent carried over - I'm pretty sure Bruce has another commentary on the 2002 release.
Thanks BTW

Who cares about the new commentary! it looks stunning, buy it because it looks sodding stunning. Burn the crappy old discs and get the new Blu Ray for £8.

Their BD of Deep Red has also been delayed but I don't mind because it's due to them adding an audio commentary.

Re: BATTLE ROYALE SE BR/DVD
Yeah, I don't mind very much either. I already have it pre-ordered from zavvi.com, and it seems like it will be a great release, so I don't mind waiting a little while longer. It's not like I'll watch it as soon as I get it or anything.

If a delay is down to improvement then that's fine.
Tenebre was pushed back until next Spring for that reason.

It could just be production problems, what with all the LE stuff. I just want it to tell sell out, so the regular version can come.

I think the regular one is meant to be coming around January.
