I watched A Serious Man last night, I enjoyed its sense of humour, but since I'm not Jewish I didn't get all the symbolism and stuff. The South Korean student, Clive, was hilarious

Just watched the BD of Big Trouble in Little China, surprisingly good quality pic and sound! From only seeing it on TV in the past I'd never realised what a good looking film this is, the sets and costumes are marvellous and this is the most I've ever enjoyed the film.

RE Will Ferrell
I would recommend Stranger than Fiction. Awesome magical film, and a restrained Will Ferrell performance. Makes Robin Williams in Dead Poets and Good Will Hunting seem OTT.

Hot Fuzz (UK, 2007) – 3.5/5
Very funny cop film parody with proper storyline and good cast. Unfortunately the film looks butt-ugly and is blessed with editing from hell. Takes a bit of effort to ignore these but it’s certainly worth a try.
Street Law (Italy, 1974) – 3/5
Enzo G. Castellari’s unusual action thriller shows how an ordinary man starts turning into a vigilante. Franco Nero portrays the protagonist who receives no help from the police in the crime ridden city. The nihilist tone is set already in the absolutely superb opening credits sequence, backed up by the film’s unforgettable soundtrack. But unlike the usual genre affairs, Street Law remains realistic till the end. The hero never goes into Charles Bronson mode for the simple fact that he’s a real human being – he couldn’t possibly pull out the movie tricks. Hence, the film may come as slight disappointment for those looking for an all out action fest. The film ended up a political speech by accident – Castellari woke up one morning to discover himself being declared as extreme rightist – and it topped the box office for a good while.

Must be something seriously wrong with your eyes, its amazing looking with some gorgeous cinematography and edited so well its scary. It is also one of the best HD transfers out there if you ever care to go for HD.

It looked fine to me too and agreed Romero about the editing. The film was okay, I don't think I get their humour. It was definitely better than Shawn of the Dead, which I found mostly average.

Yeah I'm with Romero on this too, the editing was done stylistically well, and that's coming from someone who's quite vocal about how much I hate fast-cutting.

Thing is Edgar Wright is such a master of editing now that his new film Scott Pilgrim VS The World is quite literally mind boggling, the kind of editing that just made me want to cry at how amazing the film was placed together to create some frankly mind blowing images. Few films deserve the editing/cutting etc.. even mentioned, but really Scott Pilgrim is as good as it can get.

Re: What general film/series have you just seen.. marks out
It was treated like shit by cinemas
I saw it 2 times, wanted to go again with more people, but it was pulled from screens after 2 weeks! yet films making less cash took the screens only because they were in 3D. Still every single person I know who saw it (in real life, not the net) really enjoyed it, in fact some adored it a little too much
I cannot wait for the Blu Ray

Your opinion of cute, no one else agrees though.
That girl is way to Photoshopped. I originally said touched up but thought better of it
