Cool. I bet it won't end up being called Tron 2 though.

Did you even read the article? It's actually Tr2n, which I refuse to spell like that because it looks silly.

If they needed a gimmicky title, why not call it Tron 2.0?

No. It's an AIC article. The dude's English makes chav's look like the best writers ever.

Thanks.

Tr2n? How do you pronounce that? :D
I can imagine Tron 2.0 being used somehow, it fits the piece.

This topic is about Tron 2.
If I hear one word (JUST ONE WORD) on this topic that doesn't have anything to do with Tron 2, I'll fry your balls and make you eat them with wasabi sauce.

Get back on topic. Now.

You've locked it, how can we not let it sink :D (rhetorical question). Good work in clearing up the thread, it gets my vote.

Theatrical Trailer

That CGI recreation of young Jeff Bridges, circa 1982, looks incredible. I can't wait for this film to come out.

I'm really looking forward to this one too. I love how they've not tried to change the 80s look. Surely it has to be full of CGI. It's set inside an 80s computer game.

To be fair I haven't been able to stream a HD version of the trailer, just a SD one.

EDIT:
Watched a 720p version of the trailer, the CGI head still looks pretty good.

CGI looks shit 99% of the time, especially when it's overused. As it mostly is.

You must be joking!! Blade 2 with its stupid 3D ninjas from a computer game, Pan's Labyrinth somehow needed CGI for a gunshot as well as all the other obvious examples, Hellboy was bad enough for CGI but then the sequel multiplied it by 10.

No I'm not joking. The Blade 2 ninjas did look stupid but that's only the one scene. Otherwise Blade 2 is fine.

Pan's Labryinth is an outstanding film. No CGI to complained about there (the creature with no eyes is brilliant). Hellboy and Hellboy 2 the CGI works well, not that I particularly like either film. It's films like Star Wars/Avatar that get on my nerves. Where none of it looks remotely real (well in the case of Star Wars anyway).

Avatar's CGI is highly sophisticated and worked really well.
