Re: Suspiria: Nouveaux Blu Ray
No one is dissing subtitles. I'd always choose subtitles over a dub. We're just making a technical point. More power to the subs I say.

Thats a good point about two sets of subs - sometimes it was hard to read the subs when people were talking AS WELL as the translation notes in the Lone Wolf and Cub films, for me anyway. But those subs were useful as they explained difficult words.

Yeah, same here. I'm not trying to personally argue for or against, really. Mainly trying to bring out new points and keep the conversation alive. Interesting topic.Markgway wrote:No one is dissing subtitles. I'd always choose subtitles over a dub. We're just making a technical point. More power to the subs I say.

At least we watch Subbed films, I know many who would never, and take the micky out of me for even do so (idiots I call them ussually).HungFist wrote: Interesting topic.
I guess when a film like Star Wars, or Avatar comes along they just never ever read them alien subtitles then

As well as the problems noted, I also hate that pink tint it's got.

Just watched this and it's a mixed bag-while some scenes look great others have have far too much contrast boost and are far too bright. The movie has such a garish colour scheme it's sometimes hard to say whether some of the brightness is intentional or not.The HD audio on the other hand is fantastic,a revelation.

I'll pick it up when it's cheap enough (ie. in the under £7 section).saltysam wrote:Just watched this and it's a mixed bag-while some scenes look great others have have far too much contrast boost and are far too bright. The movie has such a garish colour scheme it's sometimes hard to say whether some of the brightness is intentional or not.The HD audio on the other hand is fantastic,a revelation.
