I haven't bought an Asian film from an Asian supplier for quite a number of years now, but for some bizzare reason I feel like buying some cheapo ones at the moment. But that leads to two quandries...
1) Where is the best place these days to buy cheap Asian DVDs? Yesasia doesn't seem as cheap as it once used to be. DDDHouse still looks not bad but is there somewhere else that is now better/cheaper?
2) What cheap films are worth getting? From a quick browse of DDDHouse I've seen Shinobi, Silmido, Princess D, Drunken Monkey, among others. Just highlighted those as they are a few of the names that I actually recognise - don't actually know if they are any good... So if there are other films of a similar price point (HK$40) then please let me know.
You should be able to get any of the Joy Sales/Fortune Star titles (from their unremastered catalogue) for $40 plus postage. That covers companies like Golden Harvest, D&B, Golden Princess, Cinema City, Lo Wei, etc...
