Why the hell are you lot spoilering the fact that Bruce Lee may be in an Ip Man sequel? Their master/student relationship wasn't exactly a secret was it? His infamy as Brcue's master is pretty much the reason the first film was made, so surely most fans would be expecting Bruce to appear in a film series based around Man. Plus I think that picture Salty's posted may have let the cat out the bag!

As for Brad's comment on putting Bruce in the film as a character is a bad idea because you can never do the man justice, it's only for a biopic you bloody twonk! Bruce has been portrayed in some form or another in god knows how many times in films before!

Blame Yi. Salty and I made a point of using spoiler tags. It doesn't bother me, as I knew he trained Bruce.

On the sleevefront of the UK DVD of 'Ip Man' it actually says something like "Bruce Lee's master!". :D

Go check? Great advice! Let's do so:

Salty posts this:
saltysam wrote:Producers are still searching for an actor to portray an adult version of Bruce Lee for this film and possibly IP MAN 3.
The very next post you reply with this:
bradavon wrote:It sounds an insane idea IMO. Sure a great one on paper but in reality, there is simply NO ONE who could ever fill his shoes.

My mistake. I misread that and thought Shing said I mentioned Bruce was going to be in Part 2. I stand by that comment though. Now I understand the point, what a dumb thing to say. I'm not allowed to say, no can do Bruce justice, just because it's a biopic. WTF! You really are on your soap box Shing.

Soapbox? Here's an idea, just shut the fuck up for once and let the sane adults have their conversation. There is no soapbox, there is no need to do massive justice to Bruce because he'll just be a supporting role in SOMONE ELSE'S BIOPIC. What you're saying is like someone moaning that Scorcese shouldn't have put Errol Flynn in The Aviator because no one could do the larger-than-life actor justice - he's not the main point of the film FFS! Either way you look at it, it was a dumb comment by a notoriously dumb and flippantly ignorant, nuisance poster

I know it's dirt cheap... but just a warning that the 2.0 track is a downmix.

Now uncut but it's barebones and the theatrical cut, if that bothers you:

I was going to pick up Predator (generally speaking) but it's barebones on BD and said to not look much different to the DVD. Both were released back when Fox didn't make much effort on Blu-ray. Commando may fair better though.

I don't mind some/most of the extras being dropped (it's the film after all I'm buying for) but I cannot abide by all of them being dropped. I picked up Die Hard for example which at least has some of the DVD extras. Predator is particularly when Fox released Predator 2 some time later and included all the extras + Region Free too.

IIRC only the 'edit your own scene' feature is missing. Ironic since that's the sort of thing that BD should be more capable of.

Stupid. I'd buy Part 2 and keep the DVD of the orignal.

There's quite a lot more missing:

Same goes for Speed, which I bought too.

So would I, except I don't much like Predator 2.

Ah, the power shutdown scene (also branching option) is missing too. That's silly - but not enough to put me off. I don't understand why with BD having more capability and more space they put on less than on DVD.

I think Predator 2 is more exciting than the original. Neither film is truly great to be honest.

So they can double dip I guess. It's going the other way though, both Four Christmases and Terminator Salvation are barebones on DVD but have a decent of extras on BD.

Predator is a great 80s action film IMO. Danny Glover is okay but he has no where near as much charisma as Arnie.
