Many thanks for this. The sharpness on the IVL looks sweet, not to mention more accurate colours.

Indeed. :)
So is the IVL AoG II the uncut HK print then? I'm confused because you say the HK print is missing 2 body double back/ass shots from the Intl print, yet the comparison shows 2 ass shots on the IVL? :?

I love IVL, they always seem to release the longest cut of every film. As was said, the HK version of Operation Condor had the ass shots cut out, but the IVL has them in, how kind of them.

So what we're basically getting is the Int'l cut with a Cantonese soundtrack?

:D I will upgrade for sure.

Well it's not exactly the International Cut either is it, because that has footage cut out of it!

The UK DVD is apparently uncut, but the International Cut is present on the US DVD, which has approximately 20 minutes cut out of it.

Let me clear this up for you...

The ass shots were missing from previous HK video releases, but have now been restored by IVL so that the film is totally uncut.

The original English dub, released by EIV in the UK, was also uncut, and reasonably letterboxed.

The US version, recut and redubbed by Miramaxe, is missing 15m and should be avoided at all costs.

Two keep cases inside a hard cardboard box.

EDIT: The box is quite tight so the individual cases are a bit tricky to get out.

What do you mean by "keep cases"? Amaray plastic ones? Or more like cardboard digipack packaging?

I think he means Amarays. Amazon.com calls these "keep cases" :)

Yeah, Amaray = keep case. These types of cases are officially known as keep cases and the foldout ones as digipacks. Amaray is a manufacturer.
