Both are crap but the R0 has better framing.

Most prints of this film are censored; missing, amongst other snippets, a close-up of a heart being punctured.

Two versions of the ending exist changing the fate of a major character. I believe the "happy" ending was done for the USA market.

The heart sequence is in the Bonzai print which is touted as uncut.think they've cobbled together an uncut version from different sources.

The version I saw had the original ending, but was censored.

They included the censored end kill as a bonus though.

The Bonzai DVD, from what I can tell, seems to be taken from the US Xenon video release... which in turn, was a hybrid. Let me explain:

The Xenon video release uses the German VHS print titled "Bruce Li - Die Killerkralle", which had a 2.20 widescreen print... but was censored. Using this German print is the reason why Xenon freeze framed the opening with their own "SOUL BROTHERS OF KUNG FU" logo. But, the English dub is most likely taken from the 80s US Prism video release titled "Kung Fu Avengers". You can hear jumps in the audio quality in some scenes. Hell, when Bruce Li's character says "To get revenge!" to Ku Feng's character before their final fight, you can tell it was ripped from the scene where Li was training... you can hear the weight plates clanging! Meanwhile, there's a video on YouTube that mixed the widescreen footage, the uncut ending... and The Crystal Method
