Its a shame they never showed the sweary and violent trailer in cinemas
as that would easily convince many people to go see it for a good old chuckle.
The standard no sex, no violence and no swearing trailer just isnt exciting to attract that many new people in my mind. Even when I went to see 18 rated film they still showed the PG trailer, pretty big advertising mess up to me.
Still cannot wait myself, its even getting previews on thursday! they must expect it to make some cash.

That will be the man cutting off his own nipples scene with a blade totally out if place for me, no need for it and changed the tone wrongly for me. Loved the film, but that just seemed to be from another film for me, its suposed to be silly fun, not nasty violence. Even I cringed.bradavon wrote:I've little interest in seeing this but listened to the Andrew Collins review and he said he left half way through because something so disgusting and vile happened (his words), he couldn't stomach it any more.
Obviously use spoilers but what is it?

LOL! I've yet to watch this, but it sounds like it'll be a laugh.thelostdragon wrote:Or maybe he meant the scene where one of the strippers at the strip club gets caught in the firefight and gets shot in her tits. We see her trying to hold the silicone in, but it just squeezes out from between her fingers and her tits deflate.

As grose as the first scene Romero mentioned sounds, I'd bet it's likely to be this.thelostdragon wrote:Or maybe he meant the scene where one of the strippers at the strip club gets caught in the firefight and gets shot in her tits. That is disgusting and quite frankly misogynistic. I have to put up with some of my work colleagues misogynistic nature at work. I certainly don't have to put up with during a movie. I cannot stand misogynistic people at all. I don't get why some men find it acceptable to talk about women as if they were bits of meat.

That's the thing, you're only seen half of the truth. You feel offended when women are disrespected, but men are disrespected just as much.bradavon wrote:As grose as the first scene Romero mentioned sounds, I'd bet it's likely to be this.thelostdragon wrote:Or maybe he meant the scene where one of the strippers at the strip club gets caught in the firefight and gets shot in her tits. Would you feel angry if in a film a man was shot in the balls? No, you'd be laughing. Would you feel the film shows hatred towards men. Hell no.
Put a woman instead of a man and suddenly it's sovinistic, misogynistic and whatever.
Jokes shouldn't be taken so damn seriously.

Misogynistic
ITS A FUCKING FILM
So its bad for a woman to have a gunshot in her boobs, not fine for a guy to have his nipples cut off, or even better still a guy raped with a shotgun in the ass (which also happenes in the film)
and was hilarious for it. If that had happened to a woman you would also scream Misogynistic. Misogynistic. Misogynistic.

It's true I've not seen it, so maybe shouldn't commenting. I was more commenting about the concept of how women can be treated in general.HungFist wrote:That's the thing, you're only seen half of the truth.
To answer your question, yes I would equally hate it. I cannot stand those female musicians who get away with constant bloke bashing, as if all blokes sleep around and treat their girlfriends like shit.HungFist wrote:You feel offended when women are disrespected, but men are disrespected just as much. Women do generally get a much rawer deal of it though.
One persons joke, is another persons insult. By that token you could do and say almost anything, it doesn't make it acceptable.HungFist wrote:Jokes shouldn't be taken so damn seriously.
We have very different sensibilities. You watch many films with misogynistic undertones and even overtones. So I wouldn't expect you to agree.
And? Some films feature extreme graphic rape. It doesn't matter it's technically fake, it's still disgusting. Don't get me wrong. I'm certainly not saying it should be banned, it's just not for me.romerojpg wrote:MisogynisticLaughing ITS A FUCKING FILM
Well I didn't know about the latter, that's grose too. As to the former, firstly it sounds like it was self imposed and secondly that shows a thought process on the man's part. He's not there just as a piece of meat or an excuse to be shot at.romerojpg wrote:So its bad for a woman to have a gunshot in her boobs, not fine for a guy to have his nipples cut off, or even better still a guy raped with a shotgun in the ass (which also happenes in the film)and was hilarious for it. Anyway like I said I've not seen said movie, so will reserve any further comments.

At least he's got some bleedin' perspective on the subject, you just go off on a half baked rant about the description of a single scene in a film called Crank 2. The bleedin' sequel to a film that is notorious for its facetious approach to sex & violence - regardless of gender!bradavon wrote:We have very different sensibilities.
