I don't think I've walked out of the cinema before either, at least not because a movie was horrible. I couldbe wrong though.
I did walk out early a few times because of different reasons.
Anyway, there are two movies that come to mind that had me angry/disgusted/disappointed with it's quality.
1st: Bowfinger. Went with friends (I wanted to see Tarzan, they overruled me, and I had to sit through a shite SHITE movie with a Steve Martin who's pretty much never funny, and Eddie Murphy who also hasn't been in a decent comedy for many many years. Just a horrible 'comedy'.
2: The Bourne Supremacy: the movie is GREAT, but mannnnn.... that shakey-cam really drove me nuts. I was absolutely disgusted by that bullshit piece of directing. Made me want to go out and gun down the bastards responsible for OK-ing that. How the hell can ANYONE think that's decent, and fit to be released!?

That's precisely how I felt when watching QoS.Yi-Long wrote:I was absolutely disgusted by that bullshit piece of directing. Made me want to go out and gun down the bastards responsible for OK-ing that. How the hell can ANYONE think that's decent, and fit to be released!?
I didn't walk out of the film early by the way, I just meant when I left the cinema I felt so disgusted. It was a chore to sit through though.

I still haven't seen QoS, even though I absolutely LOVED Casino Royale.
I'm affraid to watch it, because too many people have already mentioned it's too short, and has the horrible shakey cam, which will piss me off for sure.
I really can't understand why they can release a movie in that state. It just shows you don't have a clue about what a movie-audience would like to watch.

Way underrated movie.saltysam wrote:My vote goes to Wild Wild West-utter drivel.what's your least favourite blockbuster movie
There aren't too many movies out there with a Steampunk-Setting (which I absolutely dig). This is a decent one. This and Katsuhiro Otomo's "Steamboy".
Yesterday I was kinda forced to watch "Happy Feet" on Television. Godawful commercial crap. Annoying characters. Lazy writing and a shitty R'nB-Soundtrack. Can't believe this actually won an Oscar. So much for the credibility of the Academy Award.

QOS certainly isn't too short. Bond doesn't have to be 2.5 Hrs long. It does need to use it's time wisely though.
I cannot believe anyone would include Bourne Supremacy in a list of worst blockbusters of all time, sure you may dislike it's camera work but "worst of all time"? Besides why even mention it? You also said it was GREAT.

Transformers - Michael Bay
Bloated script that really should've had a fuck tonne of fat trimmed off of it, too many shit side stories that should've been occupied with either character development of the transformers or more robot-on-robot action. Ie the Decepticons really should've WAY more screen time where they're conversing with each other.
The action was horribly shot and thus quite hard to follow. Too much shaky cam, close-up shots and quick cuts. The juvenile humour was totally cringe-worthy.
Ronald Emmerich films are horrible, but they're dumb fun that I don't mind revisiting when they're on TV. Transformers on the other hand is just an over-long, total abortion of a film that I never want to see again.

I think MI:2 was the last blockbuster I saw at the cinema where I wanted to leave halfway into it, only staying because I was with a group of friends. Sill I'd rate Wild Wild West as one of the worst blockbusters I've seen (yet sat through all of that at the cinema no probs, mostly because I was laughing at it).

POTC was pretty much 'ruined' by Orlando Bloom en (to a lesser degree) Keira Knightley. I haven't bothered with the sequels.
POTC 1 isn't a bad movie, but it would easily have benefitted if Orlando would have been replaced with a better actor, and if his character would have been more interesting instead of so fucking 1 dimensional.
Knightley didnt do a bad acting-job (not great either), but I feel it (the performance and the character) probably could have been handled better.
Depp was great, and pretty much saved the movie.

It's not a disaster but it is painfully average, nothing I'd not seen a billion times before. The way it was touted on release, you'd think it was the second coming.
I've always found Knightley perfectly acceptable if nothing special acting wise, until I saw The Duchess where she's very good indeed.
