Seriously, come on, no one says they hate kids but that isn't exactly the mindsight behind this thread now is it (now I'm not saying it's sexual either). I agree with Yi though, she looks closer to 16-18.

That girl could be any age. I wouldn't judge. We know that in Japan a 13 yr old and a 26 yr old can look almost identical. I'm sure she's legal. Feel free to shuffle in your pants without guilt.

Anyway, yes the national age of consent in Japan is 13, but prefectures have their own laws that can raise the age up to 16-18.

13 is ridiculously too low. 15 minimum. There is a gulf of difference between 13 and 15, taking an average.

As an old guy myself I'd also say 13 years old is too young, but on the other hand when I was 13 there were already people in my class, boys and girls, who were probably 'ready' to have sex at that age, so as long as it's with mutual consent I can't be that bothered about it.

Well... there are lots of 'mature' people who aren't mature. Age is nothing but a number, and some are ready for sex at age 12, and some still aren't ready for sex at age 22...
It really depends on the person if he/she is 'ready' for sex or not.

I don't really feel the need to tell some 13 year old who wants to have sex and thinks he/she is ready to have sex, that they aren't. I know I probably wasn't ready yet at that age, but I also know I could have had it if I wanted to. Others in my class did have sex when they were 13-14, and I'm sure for most of them it never turned into a 'problem'.

Agreed, definitely. It doesn't mean we should abolish an age restriction entirely and make it a free for all. There absolutely has to be a bottom level and "as an average" (crucial point I was making), 13 is too young but 15 probably acceptable.

I would simply because, just because someone thinks they're ready it doesn't mean they are. If they go ahead anyway, so be it but at least they have been given the advice to be able to think about it.
