So basically they kept you in the hosptial for accute gout, which according to the tests it isnt, and they have now sent you home, doped up on the wrong meds, while not knowing what the problem is....

I hope you'll be OK, Salty, but maybe it's wise to go somewhere else with this problem instead of now sitting around and waiting what will happen next...

Cheers guys.well they are still going down the road of acute gout,the test has threw them though.to be fair i feel much better,pain-free than i was 4 days ago..but i am on strong painkillers.but the huge swelling on my hands and feet have receded which is a positive sign.they want to do the test again in 8 weeks time.

went to my doctors yesterday,signed me off work for 2 weeks. though i'm not right,i'd sooner go back to keep my mind off things.those bloody painkillers were lethal,no-one told me when you wean yourself off them a side effect is anxiety attacks...

was climbing the walls on sunday,bloody horrible feeling. i'm still in some pain(nowhere near as bad as it was) but refuse to take any more of those painkillers (tremadol?) so it's a bit of a catch-22 situation

Dont tell me about medicine and side-effects. I once had antidepressants described to me (seroxat), and that stuff is just horrible. It actually made the depression worse, but it also had a bunch of side-effects...
Studies have later proven that it doesnt work for everyone, is addictive, and a bunch of other negative stuff.

The more you look into the whole western medicine industry, the more you'll find out what a bunch of poison and corruption the whole thing is...

I've been to a health shop today and got some stuff to try and combat my fatigue. My doctor thought it might be my liver, so I've bought 'milk thistle', 'turmeric', and 'dandelion coffee' hahaha. I've just taken the milk thistle. Loads of mad shit in that shop, stuff called 'devil's claw', 'cat's claw', and 'st john's wart' or something.

I don't understand why the BBC won't broadcast the DEC appeal for Gaza, the DG's excuse is it would be bias to broadcast it and the BBC want to remain impartial? WTF!

How is brodcasting an appeal to HELP innocent people (the DEC helps everyone affected) showing bias? Tosser

As far as I can see, claims of bias to either Israel or Palestine have been split down the middle from some of the public, do the BBC think they will be seen as pro HAMAS or something?!
It shouldnt be about politics, its just helping innocent people. I can't believe he'd be against that.

They have loads of cash, they can use their own cash to clean up their own mess in their own country.

Because they'll be favouring the red cross over other charities. I think that's the gist of it.

I think they should show it BUT I completely agree News channels should stay as unbiased as possible.

Admittedly this is the most snow the UK has seen for some years, AFAIK. Certainly down South/South-East.

Here in Holland it's just very cold and freezing. Not really much snow, if any.

Gawd I fucking HATE cold. I do like snow, but more just to look at rather than to actually having to plow through it. When I rule this planet, I will forbid cold, snow, and rain during the day, and I will turn up the Sun's temperature a few degrees.

Lol... London got a few inches of snow and ground to a halt. Bunch of nancies. We get that and worse EVERY year up here. Top headline on the news believe it or not. Nothing happens in the UK unless it happens in London. Worst snow in the South West for 18 years apparently and it's no more than average. I remember when I was at school (in 1993) we had January blizzards which left snow up past our knees. I don't remember it being the main news headline. Funny that?

I get what you mean though, although the snow is bad UK wide.
I guess it just makes the news because, in general the UK as a whole doesnt get much snow.

Well... obviously snow causes more inconvenience in a huge city, than it does in less populated areas. Just think of many more people taking the bus and trains, but also more accidents, traffic-jams, more difficult to reach places and people in need because of the congestion, etc etc.

The less people have tp adjust their daily routine, the less problems it will give, so in small villages/towns it will have less of an impact.

(* ofcourse untill you reach a point where the weather is SO extreme that the police and ambulance in those little towns can't cope with it all, and at that point you're of WORSE instead of better than if you'd be in a large city like London, which will usually have enough police and medical personal to deal with it all)

I knew that. I just made a slip.

I laughed when I saw the news reports and the snow was pretty average. You could still see the ground underneath where footprits had been. That's how little snow there was. And the main roads were mostly clear. What a nonsense.

Yeah, the main ones are mostly OK it seems. There was a 50 mile queue on the M25 yesterday though.
I guess its just because snow and REALLY cold weather is rare in the south (especially the amount it snowed).

The weirdest morning. Labour Law class was suppossed to start at 8 instead of the usual 9. I was so pissed about it that I decided to sleep till 8 anyway and go at 9 like usual. I woke up at 8, only to receive a text message a few minutes later telling that the lessons have been cancelled because the teacher is sick. I log in to bullets, argue with Shing about Ashes of Time Redux, and then I go back to sleep and have the following buch of dreams:

An evil bee had killed Jmaruyama in an open field that looked like a location from Sukeban Deka II.

Jeroen turned out to be a supremely cute and nice 26 year old Japanese school girl.

Next to the place where Jmaruyama was killed by the evil bee, there was a bus stop with a madventures advertisement. There was a button in the wall. When you pressed it, it would teleport you two meters to the right. It wasn't functioning right. A few meters to the left there was another bus stop with Batman ads.

My friend’s family was running a dog business. They had a small brown dog that would have puppies and they would then sell some of the puppies. The ones they would keep would have red christmas hats on.
