That was the Pearl & Dean theme Grim. ;)
:D

The Jack White and Alicia Keys song was not the best but not the worst either (Die Another Day is worse).

Quantum of Solace - 3/5

The action photography and editing was dreadful. If Foster was trying to imitate Paul Greengrass' directorial style, he failed miserably. I hated sequence where Bond is being chased by the shadow organisation's thugs, that was intercut with clips from the opera.

Writing was meh. I really didn't care about what was going on. The villain was a dull non-entity. The cliffhanger for the next film was completely unsatisfactory. Bond has made his peace, now what? The likely scenario for the next one where they go after the rest of Quantum will probably just be another M16 mission, no personal vendettas. I know that they were setting up the emotionless, user-of-women, who is focused on the mission; but frankly the Bond from Casino Royale was a more interesting character.

A big letdown after Casino Royale. Still the film was quite entertaining, but not a keeper.

My god, that "Another Way to Die" theme song was fucking awful.

I like the theme song, otherwise agreed. A definite let down after Casino Royale and one I certainly won't be getting the BD for, what a shame.

Let's hope for a return to form with the next instalment.

I enjoyed it, even though it wasnt as good as Casino Royale, so will probably get the DVD/BD.

Here's a thought for Mark and co whom thought that QoS was terrific, rewatch the Paul Greengrass Jason Bourne films and share your thoughts.

QoS was basically a failed rip off of the filmmaking style used in The Bourne Supremacy and Ultimatum.

QOS is a big pile of a failed movie. Bourne eats up QOS anytime, anywhere. CR forever ! 8)

Actually I am planning on revisiting the Bourne movies, but I don't see how this will have any bearing on my appreciation for QOS. I've never felt the need to compare them. It's OK to enjoy to both -- or neither if you prefer.

Exactly.

The comparison get so bloody boring. It's not even warranted, especially when Bond is significantly older.
