just got back from my first visit to the doctors in nearly 10 years and was reminded why i don't bother.My feet have been like blocks of ice for months and in the last week i've developed severe pains running down both legs from the knee through to the foot.now it's entered my hands as well. struggling to sleep at nght,my wife is having to help me dress of a morning for work ! though i'm no doctor there is clearly something wrong,her reaction was to offer no possible diagnosis but to send me for blood tests at my leisure! never even gave me any painkillers,i asked her should i take some and she said "if you want"

Could be a bad blood flow, yeah. I have the same problem. How are your kidneys? Do u also have dark circles under your eyes?

I hear you about doctors.

I've had a stomach/chest complaint for a couple of years and the doctors and hospital were seven shades of useless.

I got numerous (sometimes painful) tests, was bounced back and forward between departments, all to no avail.

Unless I keel over don't bother coming back seemed to be their attitude.

I've given up hope in western doctors as well. Fuck them. 1 doctor tells you this, the other guy completely contradicts that, and I've even had tests which first told me I was lactose-intolerant, and 1 year later new tests which said I wasnt, and all that kind of BS.

Also they keep claiming I should eat more dark bread, cause that's 'always good for your stomacht', and I already felt it was giving me problems but I followed their advice and it all just got worse, and now latest study-results in that field proof my opinion (whioch was ridiculed away by the dietician) that for some stomach-problems eating more grain and all that shit that's supposedly 'good' for you, actually can make matters much worse (which I've been telling them for years, and they said I was wrong)

The problem with too many western doctors is that they arent very open-minded (and aren't allowed to be), and are fucking stubborn and at times behind the times.

I went to HK last summer, visited a chinese doctor and talked about my problems for about an hour. He said I have a bad 'fung' (inner wind). and weak liver and kidneys which affect the digestive system, gave me some medication, and I'm a bit better now. Still not 'healthy', but at least waking up with excruciating pains in the stomach has seemed to diminish quite a bit.

I've had the same experience with doctors. Just lately I've really been contemplating going for some acupuncture, but at £30 a session, I fear I'll be wasting my money if it can't help me with my inexplicable chronic fatigue, or if the person isn't trained properly

I had a series of acupuncture sessions years ago for a lower back pain. Didn't work at all. Turns out I had an inoperable disc prolapse but of course the accupuncturist won't tell you that (they claim to be able to cure anything short of Cancer). It's also bloody expensive for what you get.

That sounds more like gluten intolerance or celiac's. Stress exacerbates it. Did they do an antibody test for that?

Yeah, they dont think that's it. Or maybe it's a chronic version or whatever. I now think the chinese doctor has the right idea, so now I'm doing stuff to improve the liver and kidneys (like drinking 1 beer a night, while I hate alcohol), and like I said, lately I feel it's going a little better, although it could just be temporary again.

It's not celiac's, and I've done a buch of blood-types a bunch of times.

The only test that I'm still interested in doing is some special type where you get all hooked up to some machine and they contact your fingertips with some materials, and it could turn out I'm allergic or oversensitive or intollerant to some weird stuff, like the fillings in my teeth or something (saw a documentary about a woman with a bunch of serious problems, and turned out it was the stuff in her fillings that caused the problem)

I dont think I've ever been given a choice. Next time I'm at the dentist I'll ask. On the one hand, I wouldnt like to have them in my mouth. On the other hand, to have to replace them, will suck big-time, not just financially ofcourse, but the procedure itself.

I wish they would just put me in a coma or something for 3 days, and completely replace my whole set of teeth with indestructible realistic looking adamantium ones or whatever. So you would wake up and never have to worry about cavities or whatever ever again.

Do they still use mercury filings? Crazy that they'd put one of the most poisonous substances in your mouth. But then we're being forced to have it in our "energy efficient" lightbulbs so no big surprise.

Just got out of hospital after spending 3 nights there

i'm still very drowsy,they are treating my condition as acute gout,problem is the test for this is showing negative so they are very confused!at least i'm pain-free for now,if a little doped up...
