From the writer of Tokyo Drift! Keanu Reeves starring as one of the samurai in a "stylized version of the story, mixing fantasy elements of the sort seen in “The Lord of the Rings” pics, with gritty battle scenes akin to those in films such as “Gladiator.”"
Why do so many in Hollywood insist on being monumental morons!

Keanu is a great character actor. I'm happy they picked him over Ken Ogata.
Is this the same story as in Fukasaku's The Fall of Ako Castle?

Yeah it is, there's been so many adaptations of the story in Japan over the years it's hard to keep track. This will surely eclipse them all though!

Miami Vice is the first BD Hung wants to get. Enough said
.
Surely to be a great actor you actually have to know how to act?
. Reeves only has one facial expression, vacant. Don't get me wrong he's worked well enough in most films he's been in (Speed is great) but a great actor he is not.
I seriously doubt this will be any good.
p.s - I like Miami Vice but the first???

Hung is being sarcastic Brad, hence his comparison to arguably the finest method actor Japan has ever produced.

To be perfectly honest I intended to say Watanabe. I only noticed this morning I had accidentally written Ogata. He's dead already...
Oh well, at least it made the message more obvious. To most people, I mean

I bet he'd still out-act Reeves!

How about a Keanu Reeves vs Michael Wong act-off?

At least Wong can act badly and change language mid sentence whilst hes at it!
