Wishing for someone's early death is a bit OTT TBH. I've had my fair share of problems with Brad, but he can be a nice guy in one thread and a total dick in the other...
I dont wish death upon anyone here (on this board), although, obviously, Grim is just asking to be knifed...

@Brad:
The truth is: I don't want to threaten or ban anyone when we've got less than 20 regular members left.

I can think of 3 or 4 troublemakers who could use a good punch in the nose.
But there are others who I don't know what to do with:
-TigerCage is out of line (but he's always been that way, even when he used to be a mod).
-Romero is just plain crazy (and anybody who takes him seriously should consider therapy).
-Yi is totally unpredictable (must be the drugs

).

I'll stop any major conflict whenever it's necessary (already done that a few times).
I'll ban whoever needs to be banned (haven't tried that yet).
But I don't know what to do with those minor squabbles you people are getting into every day.

I was actually speaking about the recent arguments but its been an ongoing thing, for example the Tron2 thread, that was just...random. Tigercages comment here was way over the top as they usually are. I'm not saying that Brad doesnt ever annoy me, and yes the thing with LD I thought was too much and Brad was acting the idiot, but thats in the past, the vindictiveness of some of the posts is what annoys me more, and the general sniping, everyone has arguments, its natural, but whats the point in being petty and bitching and posting snide comments?

Romero...just becuase I dont post in a thread doesnt mean that I dont read it, I read most threads here and dont post, so your arguement that I obviously havent read all of Brads post really doesnt work. Of course I havent read every single post of Brads, but the majority of them, and quite frankly some time ago you and your kill every one posts were annoying the hell out of me.

Salty - I am not just threatening to leave, and if I wished to make a specatacle of the whole issue that I would have started a new thread, proclaming my opinions and flaming all of you who annoyed me. But quite simply I felt that I wanted to make my point, and so chose this thread so as not to make a huge drama out of the childishness here. I just think some people here really need to re-evaluate their behaviour, and grow up. But we know that they wont, and since they are the ones who make it annoying for me, given that they wont change, the simple answer is to leave...isnt it?

This forum was great fun when I first joined here, and I rather wished it had returned to that stage when I came back, but sadly it hasnt. I just dont understand why, most discussions end up with arguments and nasty comments, I recently had a discussion with Brad, we didnt completely agree, but it didnt end in name calling either. It's not a hard thing to do, to keep yor emotions in check and act like a grown up, but alas it seems a capability beyond a select few members here.

he posts on about 10 different forums, most other forums feel the exact same way about him and the exact same arguments always follow him on them forums and his posts as well.

He is a "thread killer" as someone called him on another forum recently.

The "problem" with these boards is that we have a lot of members who don't suffer fools too gladly, and I admit that i'm one of the worst offenders here. But Brad is a world class "fool" someone who could annoy a saint with the sheer level of ignorance and hypocrisy he displays in his posts. I don't hate him at all, I just find his posts and complete disregard for any criticism levelled at him to be monumentally annoying.

I'm sure many of the "brad haters" feel similarly, except for Tiger, there's real hate there!

I'll admit what you highlighted was pompous but Tigercage specifically was asking for it.

Saying someone should die and their family would agree is bang out of order, especially when this is the Internet so by definition none us know each other well enough to make such a comment.

Agreed I'd never want to ban anyone either (at least not for more than 24 hours) but being all nice to everyone clearly doesn't work either.

Post the links because that's just not true. This is the only one where arguments happen. A couple of members said some things on Import Forum, Cooey PMed them and that put a stop to that.

Yeah you're right. I'll make an effort to ignore his random stupid posts from now on. I always make an effort after every meltdown to just ignore his posts, but they're just so widespread and frequent that it inevitably breaks down!

An Ignore function would be a godsend to these boards, but it would effectively neuter brad as a contributor here because most of the hardcore regulars would undoubtedly have him in their ignore list.

There's no real solution tbh. I don't think having an extra mod will change things much, instead we'd get posters moaning about mods becoming too hands on.

Agreed, a new mod is not a solution.

I guess the only way forward is together unless Lourdes or someone can add an ignore function to the boards, if it costs i would pay for it. (time or otherwise)

How would that practically even work? People already moan enough when the odd post is edited. Threads would make no sense at all.

Thank you. I don' think I'm ever quite that annoying to have myself killed. It's also never on to bring someone's family into it.

It's laughable that Tigercage genuinely thinks his language is acceptable, that it's not contributing and that if I stopped everyone would suddenly get along.
