I used to be "the man who loves the movies you hate".
Now I'm just "that weird french guy with a cat avatar who comes to BnB once a year for no reason and then disappears again".

We can see them because you've linked them to us, but if someone tries to view your flickr albums, they won't be able to access the private ones. I think that's how it works anyway.

Pass. I've no idea how Flickr works but maybe not as you've posted "direct links", which means you've posted a direct link to the actual JPEG.

Post the link to your profile and we'll see if we can access them that way. I'm guessing not. It's worth asking someone at Flickr how you make direct links private.

It could be a good thing though, as it means you can still e-mail direct links but as no one else will know what the direct link is they won't be able view the image. Those direct links look pretty random.

You may want to edit your post above though, in case Google catches it and adds your post to it's search engine.

She looks like a female penfold in those glasses :D, (No offence intended).

If you told anyone that you'd probably have forensics sweeping your hard drive within the hour.

Apparently 'women' arent considered possible 'pedophiles' when snapping pictures of children.

Shen has a thousand pics of a semi-clothed niece!? 'Awww.... that's sweet...'
A guy has a thousand pics of a semi-clothed niece!? 'OMFG YOU DIRTY EVIL PERVVVV!!!! BURN IN HELL YOU SHALL!!! SINNERRRRRRRrrrrrrrrr!!!!'

-sigh-

It's almost a crime nowadays for a guy to say he likes kids. I'm crazy about kids and always get along great with them, but when they climb on my lap or all over me (like kids do, wrestling and hugging and stuff), I immediately feel uncomfortable with it, not because I dont like the kids or playing with them, but simply because you dont want people getting the wrong idea and stuff. Which is a shame.

I usually dont snap pictures of people, let alone kids. Not (just) out of artistic merits ("hey! ugly people! get out of the way will ya!? I'm taking a picture here and you're ruining it!'"), but mainly because it seems inpolite to do so.
I hardly take pics of the people I DO know, btw, and I hate having my picture taken always.

It affects women too, less often perhaps. Society has gone mad, you have to be careful what you say or do. Something innocent to you, might be the devil's work to a paranoid passer-by.

Sure but it must be super rare.

There's no doubting you have a good eye for photography and many of your photos are very good but I was wondering if you ever take photos of normal stuff?

You know, like buildings (when you visit places), friends, family, touristy stuff or don't you upload that to Flickr? Those photos are impressive but I find you can have "impressive photo overkill".

Do you spend a lot of time walking around taking photos? I'm surprised you've not got your own site to display them properly, with no resolution restrictions or I guess the whole point is you can socialise them?

Has anyone ever noticed your snapping and given you an ugly glare or got annoyed?

I snap everything you can imagine (including kids haha) :)
Buildings all the time, friends I can take 500 images in one night easy, family endless fun with kids, touristy stuff and everything in between I do take snaps of, the ones on Flickr are just ones I seem to end up putting on for some reason, odd ones and not the kind that blend in with eveything else I see and can take (I do take plenty that blend in with more normal subject).

I like Flickr as you can get all sorts of people seeing them from all over the world and seeing threir work gives me ideas too, and some contact me asking to buy them or use them in advertising campaigns etc.. sadly many fall out and the deals end, but it does happen and many thousands can see one image and you can judge what the public like and photography types also. Low res can be better online, if someone likes it they can ask for better quality, harder for someone to steal and make much with a small image you see :D

I get the evil stare a lot, I dont mind I have loads of them shots:) adds to some pictures charm haha. I go out once in a while for a few hours and snap, like today I just spend 2 hours in pretty much the same place watching people around me. Or next week I am at a concert and will be snapping the people and the gig, day after that I will be at a large air show again snapping eveything. Will probibly take a few thousand images over the next week I would guess haha

I even snapped some kids today, probibly becuase of this thread and me thinking I am no perv, I have nothing to hide :D

and hey I am not the only one out there with a camera, this lady was snapping me today as I snapped her

See women do snap people too, and I am sure I saw her snapping kids  I did not think for a heartbeat she was a perv.

Do you have any links showing this?

I meant women are much less likely to be arrested as a paedophile.

That photo looks like it was taken in the 70s.

I saw Katie Melua open air the other week. Great concert but sadly most of the photos didn't work as it was pissing down with rain. I was lucky to get what I did.

Sadly not a sauagae yet :( all the best buyers pulled out at the last moment, they probibly found fools giving away images and with no credit given to them either.

Thats why I always only get close to the performer as I dont see the point of paying if I am far away, first few rows always for me.
Get tickets early, or stand outside gig early for best standing place (front row on barriers to lean on haha).

The front row tickets usually cost a fortune. I usually go for the mid-price, the cheapest should definitely be avoided.

As it happens during Katie Melua, most people went to the front during the last third so I managed to get right up close. It must've sucked for those who'd paid extra to be there.

It was a really rainy night and dark too, so not at all ideal for taking photos. Everyone was wearing full on rain gear too. It was a shame as it definitely prevented the evening from being special, it was still very good though.
