Nothing as such, it's just Dave's Trailers page allows for:

A. Direct access to the Quicktime file so you can easily download it or view it in the browser, the former can be tricky using the normal Apple pages.
B. It offers a choice of quality. The one you posted is the crud High Res. version and is really not worth it if you have Broadband.

The newbie pages are pretty pointless, it's better to go direct to the actual video file itself.

Any computer made over the past few years can handle at least 480p quality, these LARGE links aren't even that. Out of the 3 video links above, there is actually always a fourth (High Res.) but I don't bother posting it, as everyone can at least play 480p. It's the so called "High Res." video that is used in the LARGE links.

It's anything but LARGE by today's standards.

I don't mean to sound technical, sorry if I do. In short just use the video links at Dave's Trailers page. If your PC can handle them the HD ones are much better quality, and we all have Broadband anyway.

Which link? I posted four ;). They should all work.

The link in your page links back to the exact same files/links anyway, so if yours work, they will too. The page you posted is essentially just a web page to house the actual direct video links.

Seriously give Dave's Trailers page ago, it's much better than the pants Apple newbie pages, why faf around with them when what you want to see is the actual trailer? I reckon you'll like it. Dave btw is Dave Foster who posts all the updates over at DVD Times.

Seriously though, thanks for posting these trailers :).

I just use the basic large trailers on links. They're very quick and I never download (no point for something you'll watch once). Quicktime trailers mostly does (only thing I don't like is the way they try to force you to sign up to ITunes to see Red Band trailers). Still if you wanna post an alternative that's OK. Maybe some (most?) posters here prefer them.

Really? You get none of that with the direct links. Who or what is Red Band?

You can always download them to your Desktop, they're easy to delete them or click Open instead of Save As and it should stream just the same. The big reason to use them though is considerably better quality, this use to be an issue but is no more with Broadband.

Thanks Mark.

This looks decent. I've wondered why it's okay to pretty much give your honest opinion against anything, except religion. If you do then you're somehow being immoral.

I do hope the documentary covers Christians from places other than just America though. I get it many are very Christian, that's been done to death.

Direct streaming seems just as simple and I've never worried about the quality of trailers - standard large does me fine. It's down to personal preference though.
Who or what is Red Band?
R-rated trailers.

Thanks. Okay, try left clicking on this and see if it streams, click Open if asked:

Hi-Res (19.4Mb) - http://movies.apple.com/movies/lionsgat ... _h640w.mov

This is the exact link inside your link above but you don't have any of the web page crap and none of the ITunes bollocks (i.e - The page above links to this link). As it's the same link, performance will be the same. If it works as expect you can go straight to: http://www.davestrailerpage.co.uk/. It's updated regularly.

When you click Open it should stream, just the same. It may take a second for QuickTime Player to open, maybe not.

I don't tend to bother posting the High. Res version but I can do, if you like.
