Trailer up. Could be good, as Downey Jr. is perfectly cast as an alcoholic like Tony Stark; and Favreau is fan of the comics.

I don't get this trailer, it starts really good, with the intro to that Filter song building up, then suddenly, he is in armor, and we have some blank hard heavy metal stuff playing while he reenact Robocop glory days. The rest of the trailer doesn't say anything, not even that the action is gonna be good. It's just blah. I like the first half thought.

Sweet, Jeff Bridges is playing the villain. Downey Jr. shouldn't have stolen his rug and Creedence tapes.

Ha yes, I'm not into Black Sabbath at all... 8) What I meant is there's not rythm to the trailer, it loose momentum halfways, it's not like, this Aliens Trailer, remember ? That Iron Man movie looks like a well budgeted fanboy movie. It's dead in the water :shock:

A lean, no-fat action blockbuster. In a climate where over-long and meandering zillion dollar drecks like Pirates of the Caribbean and Transformers are common place, Iron Man is a much welcome breath of fresh air.

The action scenes were exciting and quite well done. The film's plot flowed naturally and was completely followable, just as one should expect from a decently made Hollywood blockbuster.

Robert Downey Jr. was perfect in the lead role of Tony Stark and dominated every scene that he was in. Jeff Bridge's is a fantastic actor, but his talents were wasted in this film. The villain, Iron Monger, was a weak, but that's to be expected in a superhero origins film. The supporting cast was serviceable in their various roles.

I watched this last night and would generally agree with Eva. The villain was poor and it spent too much time developing the Iron Man situation so little time was left to kick ass. I suspect the sequel will be better. Robert Downy Jr. was perfectly cast and like Eva says for once it flowed properly, it was clearly well made.

Iron Man is cool but he's no Batman or X-Men in the superhero stakes. X2 and Batman Begins are better films.

Oh and my god Gwyneth Paltrow is a MILF! Yummy. I've not thought it before but HELLO! She was on Jonathan Ross on Friday night in a gorgeous tight dress.

I'd give it a solid 7 out of 10. It's a bit overrated though.

Honestly, a Superfriends-esque film would probably be total shit. (Avengers is the Marvel equivalent of the Justice League) Just look at the lame casting for the Justice League film, who the fuck are Arnie Hammer and Common?!

Well Ironman is in the new Hulk film, so expect more crossovers now Marvel are a seperate entity. Many more now they are allowed to basically advertise each film with no regard for what company distributes them.

Part 2 will likely have Rhodes (Terrence Howard) donning Stark's old black armour and becoming War Machine.

Nothing is set in stone but they have spoke of it for a while now, but I guess as they have hacked The New Hulk film to pieces sadly who knows

but I expect a cameo on the end of the film like Ironman has, as hell Marvel now want to do this as much as they can to create a Universe for all the 40657378 Marvel films coming over the next few years.

Will be interesting if they start doing it on all Marvel films

well thats if the studio does not mess up their plans, as from the sound of it the new Hulk film has been decimated already

Norton has already pretty much walked away from the film and wants nothing to do with it, thats a shame.

I'd be surprised if all these big name actors would want to do a "superhero team-up" movie, the idea alone is so hackneyed.

With exception to Samuel L. Jackson, he'll literally star in any old piece of shit.

I forgot to mention the Hugh Heffner cameo was hilarious. I don't think anyone else recognised "who it was" as no one else laughed.
