That is annoying, particularly when it's 18 rated. It doesn't say what was cut too.

18 rated films should always been uncut.

The UK release is NTSC>PAL anyway.

It says exactly what was cut,
"Cuts required (on potential harm grounds) to the sight of a child attempting to hang herself, and accompanying subtitles. Cuts in accordance with the Video Recordings Act 1984"
Heavy episode.

Damn. I loved the suicide episode.
Thought it was funny as hell. :D

At least the series is available in other regions.
It's not like we're stuck with this one.
I used to be "the man who loves the movies you hate".
Now I'm just "that weird french guy with a cat avatar who comes to BnB once a year for no reason and then disappears again".

Geneon pulled out of the US market.

Yes. I had the R4 boxset, which was a port of the R1 Geneon boxset. But sold it on as it was NTSC>PAL.

Some people value image/sound quality and have some morals. If I like a series, I'll buy it on native NTSC DVD or BD.

Some series I'll consider buying, like Hajime No Ippo, Mushishi, Samurai Champloo, etc etc. Once those have good HD releases, i'll definately purchase them. I stopped watching Champloo and Mushishi after 6-7 episodes because I wanna enjoy them in the best quality possible.

However, some anime series are heavily overpriced, and not all are worth paying for, but are worth watching. So just download it. If you really like a series, you'll usually end up buying it some time anyway.
