To see if it features new foley, is in sync, all the usual stuff :?
Actually Shaws have been pretty good in that regard. Mono means mono, aside from the odd moment. Its Fortune Star who rape everything they touch

Though some of the HK Shaw DVDs have AWFUL remixes

Thanks. I just meant as this is being released by an International Studio, so they make stuff it up.

US, not International

And a lot of the stuffing up is caused by the HK companies and their failure to supply overseas companies with acceptable materials

Yeah, and there wasn't that much risk with this release to begin with since Media Blasters went to publicly announce that they will not fuck up like everyone else. Linn being involved in the production was another important factor.

That would've been something, considering he did say the 5.1 mix is free of foley and shit.

It could be, but it's rather unlikely. As the russian fella already said, it's Fortune Star that fucks everything up. I've never run into a out of sync Shaw audio, although some may exist (I'm not much of an expert when it comes of SB)

Unless you're talking about "old school" New Wave martial arts films, since they're deemed "boring as fuck" by our friend.

Actually, I find myself hating a number of them too, even though I follow them!
