New US release of Hard Boiled?

Found this on yesasia. Looks like Tai Seng have more or less released a clone of the MeiAh remaster.

This release sounds odd. I thought Di$ney were sitting on the US rights to Hard Boiled?

wow, i've actually never seen that one before. It seems it was released in September of 2003, so that could have been before Disney acquired exclusive rights to the film. Fox Lober also released a R1 of Hard Boiled, but they went out of print fast, probably at the fault of Disney.

Its kind of odd that the running time is listed as 85 minutes, when it is actually about 126 minutes. Who knows.

I'm happy with my Mei Ah remaster, the DTS really rocks in the action scenes

(Its so nice to have this film remastered in DTS WITHOUT the goddamn added/changed sound effects!!!!!!)

Tai Seng like Criterion sub-license.

Personally I'd get the HK DVD for the price or the UK R2 overall.

I'm happy with my Tartan remaster, the PQ is superb and the DTS remix is pretty damn good (also without added/changed foley effects.)

I think I'll only bother to double dip HB (or triple-dip The Killer) if Criterion do a new release, which will happen when hell freezes over.
