Yep. I'm still playing SNES classics these days. Finally giving Mario World a good spin and enjoying it. Hope to install Chrono Trigger on my Xbox soon, once I have finally hooked it up.EvaUnit02 wrote:Still, and? Yi is living proof of "I never owned a PS2, but would love to play some of those classics."
A good game is a good game, no matter how outdated the graphics are. Plus a game like Mario World and Sonic 2 still looks good as far as I'm concerned, because they have their own 'style'.
I rather play Sonic 2 than another bland 3d shooter which looks hardly any different from all the other 3d shooters.
I was there, the big BNB blackout of november, 2008. We lost many that day...

Super Mario World is the best game ever as far as I'm concerned and will never be bettered. 8)

I've been researching Multi-region SD DVD playback for my coming HD-DVD player (EP30) and found quite an interesting story.
There are firmware hacks for the 3rd generation HD-DVD players (A30, E30, A35 & E35), but only one clown in Australia has them. Some ColinP-esque moderator over at AVForums.com (kingphats) greatly upset our sensitive friend, now he's refusing to release said firmware until he gets 200 signatures and after that it's £20 per ISO. (He apparently uploaded a Youtube video as proof. He's responsible for the current 1st and 2nd gen player hacks, from what I gather.)
Fucking LOL. This is the internet, that firmware will surface for free eventually.
I'm quite happy with my Xbox loaded with XBMC for DVD playback.

Certainly one of the best games in the Mario cannon, if not ever, and right up there with the greats 8) Add Mario Bros. 3 and the original Mario to that.Markgway wrote:Amen to that.Yi-Long wrote:A good game is a good game, no matter how outdated the graphics are. @ Eva: Salty has a MR HD-DVD Player, what one does he have? He may already have the firmware. Does installing the firmware mean you cannot install newer firmware? Or doesn't it work like that.
What did Kingphats say? I've always found him an okay bloke. He's done some moderating to my posts in the past but has e-mailed me and politely said why.
£20 an ISO - WTF!

I don't know, I didn't bother trying to track down the source/specifics of the drama as I don't really care.bradavon wrote:What did Kingphats say? I've always found him an okay bloke. He's done some moderating to my posts in the past but has e-mailed me and politely said why.
