BD-Live
The ps3 this week had a firmware update making the machine profile 2.0. Some discs already have BD-Live content (War for example) but the first one i've tried has been Walk Hard:Dewey Cox Story. This disc isn't released till 8th April so i wasn't sure if it would work yet but it seems so.i'm currently downloading something called Royal Jelly which i'm guessing is maybe a deleted scene . the menu screen offers 3 downloadable sequences and a host of BD and theatrical trailers which you can watch in either sd or hd. so to answer Brad's question elsewhere it appears there is no ip address check.interesting development for Blu-ray.

Well when you click on BD LIVE you don't know what extras are there until you come to the menu.i'm guessing they can add more extras on at a later date as one of the menu options is "What's New?. bit like these console games where you download additional maps etc. months after the game's been released. it's a bit of a gimmick imo.

I'm kinda not in support of this so called interative feature, why ? I think the publishers are heading towards a model of selling in the future empty discs of the movie, except for the software allowing you to connect, type your serial number, and finally access ALL the disc contents.
So basically, you would buy an empty disc with a movie sleeve... I know it sounds crazy, but it's the way some of these people are willing to go.

Saw 4 to have BD Live in the UK:
http://www.homecinemachoice.com/cgi-bin ... hp?id=9520
The article says:
"Lionsgate has announced that its Blu-ray release of Saw IV, due to launch in the UK this month, is going to be the world's first Blu-ray disc to harness the power of BD-Live functionality with an interactive Blu-ray disc movie blog."
Keep up Lionsgate. Sony got there before you and Fox aren't too far behind

I'm sure many care about news that BD-Live is becoming more common. It's not the films here that is the important thing but the technology is starting to take off.
I cannot exactly post news of BD Live Films when they don't exist. If the news doesn't interest you don't read it all. Walk Hard has BD Live (in America) and that interests Salty (he bought it) and I think Tigercage too.
