hey,

What looks good to me looks good, even if I can't give you a detailed explanation why. Buy it for yourself if you're so keen to know.

I don't remember Joyce wearing pink pyjamas in the movie. :D

Film looks similiar to the Fox print... anyone agree?

Thanks Salty.

You could match them up against the ones captures in the first post could you?

This looks the best of the lot (except maybe for the French release). The HKL is really washed out and the Fox has really bolstered colours. It looks quite a bit different to me.

I'd be interested if it didn't cost so much. I'll pick up the HK DVD. No one else seems to have.

Two people have said that and whilst I agree it seems a bit off in terms of tint, I don't think you could get the image better than what it is (probably just down to eye-tricks) - the image is just so fucking detailed and better on Fox's. The French is seemingly messed around with: It pinkifies, worsens luminance and crops - all odd considering it's Fortune Star's source I believe.

Hmm, I wonder why.

Thanks Chenlung. Their maybe more detail but the colours on the Fox look really over the top.

For me the German DVD is just too expensive to be considered. The HKL looks awful and is cut, and the Fox has out of sync 5.1. At least the HK DVD is a reasonable price and has a choice of 5.1 or Mono. I doubt I'd notice the extra foley in the Mono too.

You're not so welcome :).

Joy Sales will get back the cash back that was paid for the exclusive content, and yes, the "mono" could make the piece of shit remix less noticeable, but it's still rubbish standards. Plus, you get allegedly dubtitles (based on the Fox dub, even though it's not on it) and supposedly generally inferior audio quality. Fair enough though, it is expensive for some :P.

OK, unarguable points stated but your post is also agreed. I suppose I'm different, I will tend to get the best version somehow (I only bother about a decent price available, whilst getting it somewhere reliable).

Now we have HD Discs £16+ for a SD DVD is just too much for me, unless it's a really special film. I'm not keen to spend that on a film I've not seen. Thanks again.

Has anywhere else started selling the German DVD besides DTM?

Cheapskate!

Seriously, I'd rather not spend that much at DTM, since they never gave me a refund for the DVD of Shadow Whip, which had VERY out of sync subtitles.

I've already said that :) !

4:3 anamorphic is a double-edged sword. Whilst it benefits from changing settings to avoid distortion, it's also a pain in the arse when we have 4:3 screens.

I'd consider that. But I really don't want the "gay" cover art.

Tell you what, I'll have a word with DTM and see if they can maybe customize the order and put artwork of the leading foursome from 'Duel To The Death' mud-wrestling. That should keep you occupied for a while.
