All the Bruce knock-offs were mostly from Taiwan or Korea. The development of kung fu cinema made a change in 1974, going from the karate influenced "basher" films to the Shaolin cycle, which introduced an empathis on distinctive animal styles and so on. Bruce's style, both of choreography and filmmaking, didn't really last (that isn't a criticism, just an observation)

It sounds like fun. I know about Edison Chen but what did Nicholas Tse do wrong?

He he very good.
Cue Yi-long with a big and at least two paragraphs rant about how shit Weinstein is. He won't be able to resist himself. Fancy a Gentlemen's wager Eva?
Remove the spaces and it will connect together when you post. Agreed it is annoying their is no "Make URL" button.

Didnt they schedule to release Tai Chi master and Fist of Legend end of 2007? They made that 'promise' about a year ago.EvaUnit02 wrote:Yi-(sch)long, your pessimism FAILS.RickyTheDragonSteamboat wrote:Tai Chi Master July 29, 2008...hopefully.
End of 2007, My pessimism was once again proven justified.
Now they have it scheduled for a new date...
Like I have said before, I'll believe it when I have an uncut, subbed DVD in my hands. Untill then, my pessimism stays...
BTW... by the time Fist of Legend and Tai Chi Master are finally released, I will have moved on to a HD tv and Blu-ray, so once again I'll just be fucked cause I'm sure it will once again take many years for them to release a proper HD release...
So dont expect my negative bitching to go anywhere...

Aw, here it is. Like I said, about a year ago we had pretty much the same discussion, and my same pessimism, here on this board.Yi-Long wrote:Fist of Legend conveniently scheduled for way over in December. No doubt it will be delayed into 2008, knowing Brian White...
Also, I fear they will pull the same crap they did with Tom Yum Goong: Release the american version on the first disc and have the uncut version as an axtra on disc 2.
Yeah. I'm sceptical and pessimistic.
Gee... I wonder if this year things will be different...(!)

Yeah, you're real fantastic. I noticed that when I browsed through all the old posts about this subject, and your replies to my posts, how great your attitude is about this subject. It really makes me wonder why I dont like you more...bradavon wrote:And right on cue

Eva didnt say that, you did.
Plus you're response, as ever, was predictable as ever, cause every time Fist of Legend/TaiChiMaster/DragonDynasty comes up, you are going to make a huge deal about my 'pessimism', which all these years have been justified btw.
Apparently, you are really obsessed about my opinion on this whole bullshit.
Kinda pathetic.

I think it means that Eva thinks this movie will be released in a few months, and thus all my pessimism over the last few years was unjustified... which I disagree with, as it was very much justified, proven by the fact that we still dont have an uncut, english subbed DVD of FOL or Tai Chi Master. Nothing more.bradavon wrote:What do you think his picture means?Yi-Long wrote:Eva didnt say that, you did.
Yeah, you're right back on my Xmas card list...(!)A huge deal would've been my usual responce where I'd have ranted at you. I've done none of thatYi-Long wrote:you are going to make a huge deal about my 'pessimism'. It's all friendly banter from my end.
