Tiger Blade - New Thai Actioner

Post by thelostdragon »

Just found this trailer and it looks to be a quite entertaining film.

Skip the first minute or so as it includes no useful video information.

I hated it because all the action is blurred out, but without that i think it would have been fun

Unlike the Thai DVD the USA BD unsurprisingly looks to be fine:

Watched it on a non-censored German DVD, but I thought it pretty much sucked. Sure, there's lots of action, but the editing is terrible: There's not a single kick or punch without a counter-cut in between, and you'll start wondering, why they would be going through such lengths creating awesome Slo-Mo Fatalities with otherwise competent wire-work, if you never see them finish a move in one take. This can become very frustrating. Also the humour is of the most weird and awkward kind, not to mention the showdown, which comes as a mere cheap crime ending you'd be expecting in an afternoon police TV-Show, but not in that all-out action-stunt-movie "Tiger Blade" is supposed to be.
