New Zealand. Dunno if it's in the OAR (don't own the DVD).

The director has worked in Hollywood during late 80's/90's, where he made some stinkers (B-grade action films.). Before going to Hollywood he made some of NZ's most highly acclaimed/well-loved classics.
How can you complain about people not posting in OAR OAR when you post something that doesn't even come from a DVD?

My PC is broken, so I can't take screen captures.

None of the guesses thus far. In past projects, the director has worked with a blonde French guy and an American dude with a trademark ponytail.

You mean Christopher Lambert and Adrian Paul from the "Highlander" films/series?

No. The film is from this decade.

Adrian Paul? No, I meant a guy whom once played a character called Nico.

Wow, never knew that Lambert was American.

Anyway, the guy in the screen capture has co-stared opposite Temuera Morrison, Arnie and Nic Cage in the past.

No, I was talking about Christopher Lambert as the "blonde French guy" and Adrian Paul as the "American dude with a trademark ponytail".

But you're right, after a bit of rersearch it turns out that Lambert indeed is American.

Oh and I'm pretty sure now it is "Spooked"?

LD gets it. Oh and the "American dude with a trademark ponytail" was supposed to be Steven Seagal.

Shingster's post prompted me to look up Lambert, was quite surprised to find that he was in fact American. I always thought that he was a French guy, putting on a bad American accent in his films. Wikipedia says that he was raised in Switzerland until age 16, so that's probably the source of the "European twang" in his accent.

Most people think Lambert's French, I know I did until about 15yrs back when I read an article on him. It's perfectly understandable though, he did rise to prominence in french speaking roles, and of course that accent. There are so many actors who we associate their nationality to their early roles, I went years thinking John Lithgow was English because of the number of times he'd played a brit.

I knew it was "Dog Bite Dog", but I had my doubts, because I didn't think it was also a Japanese production.
