I have no idea. Just that history dictates that a film festival release is more or less guaranteed.bradavon wrote:Cool. July crikey that's late. Aren't they giving it a general release?

Great, thanks Gasteropod. I knew it was worth waiting. The BD is likely to be Region Free, all existing Optimum BDs are.

Annoyingly the Chinese forum it links to has changed his main URL so the capture link no longer works and the new URL doesn't "seem" to allow searching without registering first, presuming they even ported the threads over to the new website:

Still it's a bit more info. It was already a risk buying the DOBW HK DTS SE but even more so when it seems it's probably worse, and especially when it only has 5.1 (no Mono).
For those who need English subs the Tartan box set UK R2 looks to be the best, but as it's only available in the box set (the separate version only has Mandarin) those who don't want the other films will want the R1 (which has Cantonese Mono but annoyingly has most of the green tint removed).

Regarding Days of Being Wild: I had a feeling it was over at The Asian DVD Guide Forum. Here it is:Markgway wrote:There was a comparison when it came out.... I wish I could remember details but the consensus was that the new release wasn't any better than the original (in fact it may have been worse). Maybe someone has a link for you or knows where to find a comp?
