CC = Close Caption (aka - Subtitles for the hearing impaired)
SD = Standard Definition (A new term now HD is coming out, AKA - All non-HD TVs)

You could be :D . Lourdes said:

"Anybody heard any reports about the DE HD release? Not sure if it's the extended cut or not but HD > a few more scenes."

There is a German HD DVD hence DE HD! As in Amazon.de but you already knew this.

Everything becomes common if it's used often enough, it doesn't make it correct.

NITE is a perfect example of a common spelling which is incorrectly spelt.

Back OT. CD WOW have let me know they will be stocking Hero: DC and look here it is:

£7.99 with the £1 voucher (as usual it's worth checking the HK and US $2 sites):

http://www.cd-wow.com/detail_results_2. ... ffid=13858

I better get on and watch my Face DVD.

So, 7.99*1.46= 11,66€
(79+30)*0.11= 11,99€

Hero at CD-WOW is 33 eurocents cheaper than DDDHouse. Yay. :D

Do CDwow definitely cancel all orders that use a voucher and link combo to get £2 off?

They ship from HK and cut their costs much more than DDDHouse. I know it sounds strange they're cheaper than DDDHouse but in reality they're also a HK store from this point of view.

It's £9.50 from the HK store and £8.50 from the US store.

Sorry I should've posted in Euros also. It's nuts there is no French site but then again it may still be cheaper from the UK one.

I know of a German and Swedish version.

Yes BUT there is no harm trying. All they'll do is send you a snotty e-mail and refund you. So if they do just order it again.

I'm going to try again in a month or so. I won't try again after that.

Actually a French CD-WOW has just opened: :)

www.cd-wow.com/fr

Product selection is the same as in other CD-WOWs.

I know it won't make a huge difference but that comparison review uses the "SINGLE LAYER" Chinese DVD!

I finally saw the Extended Cut tonight and it reminded what an excellent film Hero is. The extra footage doesn't add much but nor does it make the film worse.

It's really just minor additions here and there, that said it's probably the better of the two cuts (overall).

Tom I'm sure you'll know this, where is that list of additions again? Cheers

If you're talking about the complete list of added shots and scenes that I posted last year, I'm afraid it died with the old BnB in October 2004.
Sorry.

Kinda pisses me off since I had spent 4 hours comparing the 2 versions frame by frame.

Off the top of my head:
-Donnie gives money to the old musician before his fight with Jet.
-Ziyi is shown fending some arrows during the attack on the calligraphy school.
-The Maggie-Ziyi forest fight scene is longer and slower (in sync with the music).
-The theatrical cut was suggesting that the Tony-Jet fight on the lake happened in their minds. In the director's cut it's suggested that it was real.
-There's a Jet-Ziyi fight after Tony writes Tian Xia in the sand.
-Maggie and Tony's first meeting begins with a short swordfight.

Has it been confirmed this is the director's cut or an extended cut? I've heard there is more footage he'd like to have included.

Which cut do you prefer Tom?

Oh yeah. It's just a subtle change in the subtitles/dialogue that did this. I completely missed it.

I'm sure this appears in the TC but will have to check.

Nope. In the TC they speak but do not fight.

I prefer the DC. Flows better IMO. :)
