LoveDeath - Ryuhei Kitamura's Latest Film

Post by thelostdragon »

Hey,

this looks to be pretty cool. It was screened in February at the Yubari International Film Festival in Japan. Here is a website with a bit of information.

Whoa! Just read at Twitch that the running time of this film is 3 hours. Let's hope the 3 hours are needed.

Takeuchi Riki, Terajima Susumu, 3 hours, Kitamura...
Is it Christmas already ? :D
I used to be "the man who loves the movies you hate".
Now I'm just "that weird french guy with a cat avatar who comes to BnB once a year for no reason and then disappears again".

Well, maybe its not a bloody great one...but the Aragami R1 from Media Blasters is deffinetly adequate. Original audio track, good picture quality (port from the Japanese disc), good subs.

The Godzilla Final Wars edition from Tristar is fine also.

The R4 sounds better. More extras than the R1 + Native film-PAL transfer.

Fair enough, i was just saying that the R1 is adequate in the sense of being uncut, having the oringal audio, and pretty good picture quality

I thought the Argami R1 was suposed to be awfull, thats why I have avoided it so far :( I was waiting for the holy grail UK dvd to come out, but its been delayed so long and changed specs so often its bound to be bad?

Godzilla I am waiting for sales :) cheap.

What did you think was bad about it? I own it and it really does not have any problems at all. The only problem i can think of is Media Blasters, in all their wisdom, decided to put the layer change right in the middle of the climax, but it only effects audio since there is no image at the time. Alittle annoying but not a big deal at all.
Very inexpensive way to own this awesome film.

This has been plaiying on film festivals for almost two years now and still no DVD in sight. I'm really looking forward, especially because Riki Takeuchi is in it and as far as I know Kitamura and Takeuchi have never worked together before.
