If I just meant you I would have referred to you directly, my comment was clearly aimed at the people who posted saying Premier Asia used to cut their films, when TMK they never actually cut anything themselves, they either purchased the International Prints or had their films cut by the BBFC.

It's as simple as that.

In other words don't blame Premier Asia blame someone else!

I guess you could blame Premier Asia for deliberately picking the international cuts though.

Oh right thanks then. They don't count.

And Premier Asia rescored Ong-Bak. Now, for the theatrical release this isn't so bad, and for the DVD it would have been fine had they included the original score. Which they didn't

That's one release. Granted it's not mustard but like DD people so often (deliberately) don't put it in context when bitching about a label. The R1 is even worse.

Ong-Bak was treatly badly by all of the English language labels. The R4 has both cuts but I believe they crammed both on to one disc.

What context? They could have released the film as it was intended but instead stuck on new music! And for what? No-one was going to see Ong-Bak for alt music!

Me too. But it shouldn't have been the solo option on the DVD

That when people bitch they choose to pick out titles instead of also pointing out the many titles that are fine ;)

You're speaking to the converted I don't think they should've changed the music on Ong-Bak either, although everyone whose heard it seems to prefer it.

Well since they are "bitching" about said titles, it only makes sense to pick them out. You don't slamn HKL on the basis of their fine DVD of Purple Storm, you slamn them for Police Story 2 and the continuing attitude that disc represents

Apparently, you cant bitch about something without having to also mention all the stuff they did do right.

I guess when we slag Hitler for that 'killing lots of people' stuff, from now on we shouldnt forget about the nice affordable cars, the highways, and the rising economy he brought... (!)

Brad, we bitch about the stuff they do WRONG, because they are SUPPOSED to do it RIGHT. It's not like these discs are free, ya know!? Ofcourse we will bitch when they dont get it right. And when they do get it right, we just buy the discs!

I know, but somethings just shouldn't be compared against so frivolously.

p.s - No - analogy.

Regardless of ethic, I think HKL is more like Churchill. Did a lot of good but some screw-ups along the way.

I wonder what extras they will use apart from the commentary tracks.

Are you talking about Royal Tramp?
If so, I haven't seen any info on extras anywhere.
I would love to listen to a commentary for these two movies by someone that knows something about the filming and backstory.

Well, that was a bad one.

Really, I'm not gonna support DD's releases if they can't make better trailers than that.
