No seperate releases for the previously unreleased, so if you want the 9 MIA titles you'll have to buy the entire set. Mind you the pre-order price at Amazon (UK) is pretty darn excellent.

The US equivilent is significantly more expensive.

Problem is at this stage we don't know about specs or censorship or if both countries (indeed international territories also) will be getting the exact same set.

Won't the UK set have incorrect soundtracks? :?
That is a cool looking box however. I'm sure eventually the MIA titles will turn up (I'm after Goldeneye, You Only Live Twice, and OHMSS personally).

I've somehow managed to lose my Dr. No disc out of the Blu-ray box set, turned my room upside down the other day and didn't manage to find it

Surely cuts will be the same as the DVDs? Why would it be any different?

I'm only interested in Casino Royale and Tomorrow Never Dies (it's something of a guilty pleasure, Yeoh does it) on BD. I've got a few others on DVD UE (plus those, not all UEs) and they'll do fine. There are way to many to get them all/upgrade them to BD. I bet separate BDs now come at some point.

The cover art is great.

It doesn't say why Diamonds are Forever has been upgraded? Wasn't Tomorrow Never Dies 12 before? -

There's another BD coming? Any idea how it improves on the existing 2 disc? Other than being uncut obviously.

I've still got the 1 disc, by all accounts the AV was pretty much identical (TrueHD vs. PCM on the original disc but who cares). I'm happy with it, it's cut nowhere near as bad as the US PG-13 release.

RE: GoldenEye:
Somebody screwed this one up. 'GoldenEye' is one of the worst-looking (if not the worst-looking) titles in the 'Bond 50' box set, and I think I know the reason why. When Lowry Digital remastered most of the Bond catalog for the Ultimate Edition DVD sets in 2006, fans complained that the 'GoldenEye' transfer appeared to be zoomed-in and missing picture information from all four sides of the frame. Rather than correct this error with a new transfer, MGM instead dusted off an even older high-def master, one presumably struck for the earliest DVD release. In support of this theory, 'GoldenEye' is the only (pre-'Casino Royale') movie in the box set that doesn't have a Lowry Digital credit screen after the movie's end credits.

The 1080p/AVC MPEG-4 transfer has a very "processed" appearance, with blatant Edge Enhancement artifacts and Digital Noise Reduction filtering. The contrast has also been artificially boosted, which frequently crushes black levels and reduces visible shadow detail. Textures are often smoothed over, with mushy facial features. The DNR is so sloppily applied that numerous shots start off swamped in video noise (which is distinctly different than real film grain), until the filter kicks in a few seconds later and wipes that noise away (along with real picture detail) right before your eyes.

I wouldn't go so far as to call the disc unwatchable. The edge ringing tones down eventually and becomes less hard on the eyes (though never entirely goes away). Basically, the movie looks like a mediocre cable broadcast. It's a big disappointment, but I've suffered through worse on Blu-ray.

On the plus side, the 2.35:1 picture appears to be properly framed, without the cropping issues from the last DVD. I guess that counts for something.

Yeah, strange that Goldeneye is the only title affected by an excess of DNR (though it's apparently not in the same shit league as Patton and Predator). It looks better than the any DVD and the ratio is pretty much fixed (a sliver is still missing off the bottom) so I'll still pick it up as soon as...

I recieved You Only Live Twice and On Her Majesty's Secret Service Blu ray today :)
Alarm bells started ringing when I could find no mention of Mono the back of the case, however - upon firing up the discs, English Mono IS present in the language menu :D Thats great :)
Don't think I remember hearing these in Mono (possibly I did in the VHS days).

As I recall the VHS releases were always mono.

Picked this up for a great price on Amazon. Shame it doesn't include the uncut CR, I have to figure out where to get that, but for the price, it was too difficult to pass up.
