And the burnt-in subtitles for the location is a plus also.

Pity the film isn't more detailed

LOL. Yeah it is pretty bad.

Captain, any chance you can do a comp for TWINE?
R1 UE vs R2 UE?
I was shocked at how much better the R1 Diamonds Are Forever is compared to the R2.

I'll do one after I finish watching Living Daylights, probably 1 and a half. God these are really great transfers.

Yeah, I just bought Vol 1 so far and the transfers are really great. Going to buy Vol 2 pretty soon.

Yet you bought it???
The "only" good scene is Halley's lovely boobs bouncing out of the ocean 8) , other than that utter tosh.

You have the TWINE R2 UE as well as the R1 UE?
Can you do one of the following too please:
TND: R1 SE vs. R1 UE or R1 UE vs. R2 UE
GE: R1 SE vs. R1 UE or R1 UE vs. R2 UE
Oh and are GE, TND and TWINE all in the same box set? If not I'll have to keep waiting a wee bit longer.
I never ended up getting the R2 Pierce UE's as they messed up the TND R2 UE transfer.
Agreed I now see the extra detail, it's small though. I wouldn't say it was necessary to upgrade myself.

Where is the link please?

Way to go Sony put each PB Bond in each volume, that makes sense

Ok, ok. No I don't have the R2, I just matched them with the ones already posted. And I have Die Another Day because of two reasons, it came in the box with other ones I like and I must have all Bond movies!

Ah I see. Thanks again. TND and GE please

(especially TND, the UK R2 has had an odd red filter/tinge added).

Will definately do one for TND and GE once they're released in December. Remember how the US got screwed with the way they released them? :x

I thought they would at least release the box sets all together, dumb asses.
Thanks btw. Do the 4 Volumes cover all the Bonds?

It wasn't Sony's doing, it was Fox's. Sony owns the MGM catalogue, but Fox controls it.
Do the 4 Volumes cover all the Bonds?
That's not possible, since there's only one Lazenby film and two Dalton films.

Don't MGM have any affiliation?

MGM are still autonomous even thought they're now a wholy-owned subsidiary of Sony. They chose for Fox to handle their catalogue. IIRC New films made under the MGM banner will be released theatrically by Sony (eg Casino Royale), but DVD/BR distribution of those new films will handled by Fox.

Yes that's correct.
Do the 4 Volumes cover all the Bonds?
I meant PB Bonds sorry and my question has been answered.

Is the R1 UE of Die Another Day uncut?
I've never seen the cut version and it's been a while since I saw it at the cinema.

It was cut in The States???
Posted: 01 Dec 2006, 21:42
by captainjoe
It's uncut. The sex scene is extended just a bit.

by bradavon
In The States or UK? I never knew this. By how much?
I'm guessing considering how draconian the MPAA are to sex it's the R1 SE which is cut.

by captainjoe
SE and theatrical run in the US were cut. The difference is like 3 seconds of extra, well how to put this, movement in the sack???

Posted: 01 Dec 2006, 22:54
by bradavon
But the UE is uncut? I presume therefore it's Unrated or was it resubmitted and now allowed a PG-13 uncut?
The MPAA are so stupid. They did the same with Monster's Ball as they said it went on for to long. How is that offensive? It's not like it's any stronger uncut, just a wee bit longer.

Yeah the UE is uncut even though it doesn't say it does. The MPAA are very stupid. So stupid. GRRRRR!
