I've not claimed to be anything

.
I prefer people make their own mind up, especially when it should be obvious. If close friends/family ask, I give them an answer but everyone else, let them decide for themselves because I don't care what people think I am. I know.
Just like drugs, I won't limit myself to what society says is right or wrong but likewise know where my (self-imposed) limits are. Not that I'm saying most people on this forum pay much attention to society, but too many people do.

You didn't. If it's not despicable to be gay but Islam isn't fine with it either, what is it exactly?
What it is? Nothing. It just is forbidden. No reason given. The same as why pork is forbidden. Some people claim it's forbidden because pigs are dirty animals. But in fact God has never given a reason for forbidding the consumption of pork.
Or why do we have to do the ritual of washing before we do our prayers? Some people claim it is in order to be clean when we do our prayer. But in fact God hasn't told the reason anywhere in the Qur'an. You could come out of the shower, clean and fresh. And still, when the time for prayer comes, you have to do the washing nevertheless.

I watched a doc once that found women were turned on by both straight/lesbian (?) porn.
Anyway, we should get this ontopic

I havent seen it but the trailer/film looks visually stunning although the story loses points for seemingly being something we've seen a lot before (Dances With Wolves, The Smurfs etc).
I'm sure when I see it for real I'll enjoy it

It's a shame Avatar doesn't have those smurfs running around with those little condoms on their head. I cartoon was just way more 'daring'.

As you claim to have nearly died from stupidly drinking absinthe recently then you clearly do not know where your limits are.

I hate absinthe, on my 18th birthday I ordered a couple of shots of it, but it later turned out they were actually
double shots because the barmaid knew me. I felt kind of spaced out and the walls in the bar started going all wavy, and then later on I was throwing up outside my front door

Doesn't that strike you as odd? To give no reason "at all". I'd want at least a reason, before I agreed to do something. I'm not religious though, so cannot fully understand.

I always presumed, it's so you're clean. As in washing before pray, is immediate. Whereas most of the time you don't literally come out of the shower, then prayer.

But male gay porn?

Nah. It's a shit discussion.
saltysam wrote:As you claim to have nearly died from stupidly drinking absinthe recently then you clearly do not know where your limits are.
Well Absinthe is legal, it was bought over the bar and I'd not tried it before. You've never done anything stupid before? I find it hard to believe, you've never done anything and said "Oh shit, I won't be doing that again". Don't be so OTT, it's not as if I'm an alcoholic or druggie. I'm not addicted to any of it.

FOUR shots, my god. Some friend. I doubt anyone could handle any more than one absinthe and not throw up.

Back when i was younger, many times.but then i never spouted shit about knowing my limits then proceed to nearly die from alcoholic abuse did i?

Good for you.taking drugs and od'ng on absinthe isn't very clever though is it? such behaviour seems at odds with the image you like to cultivate as a wise, well travelled man of the world.

Shamans drink ayahuasca to become wise do they not

Life's all about experience, nothing wrong with experiencing drugs, it's been done since humanity began.

I saw that ignorant comment coming, how is experiencing a different state of mind comparable to injuring and killing other people?

The ignorant prats are the fools who think it's ok to take illegal substances and pass it off as an "experience".

come back in ten years when you grow up a bit and see if you still feel the same way...

Maybe not... but you'll still have taken part in a gay act.
I've never had any sexual fantasy about any guy whatsoever, but if I were an actor and the role would require for me to play a gay guy, and the movie requires on-screen 'proof' of that aspect of my character's life, then yeah, I'm pretty sure you would have to kiss the other actor.
You wouldn't have to. Actors have choices. You could turn down the role. Saying "oh I'm not gay, I'm just getting paid to pretend to be gay" isn't terribly convincing when you're fondling another bloke's nuts.

TBH, I don't really care if people use 'illegal' substances, as long as they don't bother anyone else, or bring anyone else in any kind of danger.
Would I be friends with those kinda people? No, I doubt it. Probably because I think it's silly and I wouldn't really feel comfortable around people like that. That doesn't mean they're bad people, or that I wouldn't 'like' them, but it would just be wayyy to different from my own 'morals and values' about that kinda stuff.

Illegal has nothing to do with it, there are plenty of legal chemicals going round which are far more dangerous than some illegal ones. I don't personally think it's ignorant of me that I've experienced a 5-minute loss of all sense of self (salvia, of the mint family, it's legal). It was incredibly interesting tbh and gives me an idea of what death will feel like

This is where you're confusing drug use and drug abuse, there is no chance I would ever do something like that.
