The C word was used in Kick-Ass and it was a 15, it depends on context.

Yeah, as long as it's an 11 year old saying it it'll get a lower rating

Hey I am not sure you saw the same film as me as Predators was pretty tame by any standards.

Mind you Machete may get an 18 for 2 reasons, if they say the C word, and if it has rape/violent sex in it :icon_suspect: as hey Planet Terror had the whole strange rape stuff going on with melting knob haha guess it depends on how far the film is going.

Lol I forgot the whole melting knob scene!! I need to get that film on Blu-Ray

It depends on how many times they use it, they are allowed one use of it in a 15 rated film, 2 times is an 18 apparently  (which always confuses me, as hey we heard it one time, so why not 2! does saying it 2 times make the second one more evil :icon_suspect: ) which gets some films upgraded if they use it on a commentary track  hence why the UK gets some films upgraded when they rate the extras.

It's not so much the volume of 'cunts' but the tone they're said in.

Like if a man agressively calls a woman "a stupid cunt" then that's more likely to get an '18' than if a man says it to another man.

If we're talking more than several uses then volume comes into play.

Eg. Al Pacino twice calls Kevin Spacey a 'cunt' in the 15-rated Glengarry Glen Ross.

The very fact we live in a time and age where a film can be upgraded to an Adults Only category for one or two uses of the word "cunt" is fucking ridiculous!

It used to be a film got an 18 whatever tone the word was said in (I think) - remember the PG-13 (IIRC) type Dragon Gate Inn got an 18 on the HKL DVD because Maggie uses the C-bomb in the subtitles?

Dragon Inn was also quite bloody.

Must be the only example of the word 'cunt' be used in a HK movie subtitle... lol

I think it should be 18. I could have a wank over the text of Maggie Cheung saying cunt...maybe even just the font

Reviews haven't been so hot.

Might check it out on DVD.

I always find the idea of Rodriguez films exciting... until you actually watch them... then it's disappointment.
