The case is actually pretty nice and only slightly thicker than a regular DVD case. It's only a little taller too. It's the same case they used for the LE a few years back. I'm happier it's being used.
As to the colours, the R1 LE DVD easily surpasses all others, maybe not in the colours (that's debatable) but in all ways. Personally I'm with Eva though and think the colours are also the best. Your beloved UK R2 OOP DVD looks pants by comparison.

Yeah, much better that Harvey Keitel now looks as if he's got sunburn, and dig the purple asphault! Compare to an old untampered with VHS if you don't believe me.
"As for the disc, it's a big step-up from the R1 extended DVD that I've got. It's not gobsmacking 3D goodness, but it's a breath of fresh air compared to the overly processed muck that too many studios are guilty of producing. There's a persistent layer of light grain and lots of fine detail with it. Bad points: there are still some slight edge halos, and they've boosted the contrast something chronic.
The remixed DTS audio has more emphasis placed on the music compared to the mix on the R1 DVD, which seems to have punchier sound effects. I prefer the former, as I'm a big fan of Eric Serra's score.
The extras are the same as seen on the R1 Deluxe Edition, with the addition of an isolated score and a photo gallery (which is presented in HD, a nice touch). Disc is coded for region B. No forced German subtitles. Menu language is German only.
Yeah, but for a while I haven't really been importing to be honest, I prefer just buying stuff from HMV with student discount, through Quidco, and not having to wait for stuff to be delivered from America and worrying that it won't arrive lol
(that and I have the controversial preference for the UK BD cases).
It's just a case. I prefer the USA ones but really I don't care. Can you use Quidco in HMV Stores too? Surely you're being ripped off buying in stores?

My Leon BD arrived today. The AV is excellent.
It wasn't cheap (£24.99) but it's Leon. I also want the German Dances with Wolves (English subs!) and Fight Club but at £25 a pop I can wait for the much cheaper UK/USA releases.
