Cool. Are you saying the French or European HD-DVD is better than the USA HD-DVD?

I believe we established the cut shown in the UK is the same as the USA, so presumably the UK got the same transfer as America. Does the French HD-DVD look that much better?
As for Bill Hunt saying HD-DVD encodes aren't up to BR standarts and Paramount / Universal having to redo them all if they switch to BR... the guy's a nut job. Many BR discs don't have more than 24gb or 18gb of film encoded on them, and he never complains.
That never made sense to me either. 18Gb on a BD50 is absurd!
but I know the european master was that way, it misses the intertitles (Bazel Bank - Switzerland etc...) they are shown only when you switch the subs on.
Annoyingly that's common on European releases.

This one. The link includes info and screen captures:

It's not in the UK DVD either. It's part of the Deleted Scenes. Personally I think it was cut for a reason, as does Eva.

Yes, the Bourne Indentity french disc (same as european one ?) is the exact same transfert quality and bonuses as the USA one, but includes the longer european cut of the movie (30s longer) with the "I drink Heineken" silent scene added + all the commentary is subtitled in several languages.

I think it's a French exclusive. The UK cut is the same as the American cut.

I watched Click on BBC News yesterday and I was surprised to see (during their HD-DVD News segment) that a shot of Batman Begins on BD was shown. It was only the top half but was definitely Batman Begins.

It looked like it was at some trade fair and wasn't the normal Batman Begins cover but the one of the large bat. No doubt it cannot be long now before it's released.

It is good isn't it. Considering the fact T3 ended up having fake PIP I hope Batman Begins is a proper Profile 1.1 disc.

I wish Universal would do the same instead of delaying the inevitable. At least Paramount/Dreamworks (unlike Universal) only have a handful of discs to re-release.
