I tried to post and it said my IP address was blacklisted WTF?

I tried to make a post in the Asian review forum a minute ago and it wouldn't go through?!? What do I do?

Edit: This one worked, so maybe it was just an error who knows?

When I checked for more details I got this:

Now it's done it again when I tried to post in the "What have you just seen" thread for Asian movies.

I'm really not a tech expert, but I might know what the problem is. I did some snooping on the moderator control panel, and I can see your five most recent posts in this and the Asian film viewing thread are made from four different IP addresses. Are you using a VPN? Public wifi? Or perhaps your internet service provider does that (providing changing IP addresses) without you even knowing it?

In plain English, your IP address seems to change all the time, and some of those IP addresses I guess are blacklisted. That may be because some spammer has used the same IP address (provided by a VPN, public wifi or private internet service provided) in the past; no one has tried to blacklist you for sure. Well, that's just my guess. Perhaps Lourdes knows better what's going on here.

I'm not using a VPN, I'm not using Public Wifi but I just checked and my settings say Public is 'Recommended' - "Use this in most cases, when connected to a network at home, work or in a public place'

Well I'll be dammed. I just got the same blacklist message when I tried to post on the Asian forum. Had to turn on my VPN to get past it.

I made a test post in the Asian Review thread and it was fine.

It should be fine now. I PM'd Lourdes and he said he fixed it. It was a board security setting that was checking poster IP addresses against an external database.
