Do you value cardboard slipcases?

A lot of people seem to spooge themselves over slipcases. I'm baffled as to why. Vinegar Syndrome seems to offer slipcases by themselves and this purchasing option seems popular, judging by a few vocal anecdotes I saw.

Personally I don't like them, they're a waste of time. That being said I'm not going to bin them when I get them.

Same. I don't mind them, but I wouldn't pay for them. Well, actually I did with Vinegar's Ebola Syndrome, but just because I though I'd better future proof it in case I was to sell it one day, and the slip cover option was only $1 or $1.5 extra. But thinking about it now, it was probably a waste of money.

Now, artwork itself is a different matter. In some cases I would pay extra to get original theatrical artwork if it wasn't available on a cheaper edition. This is a collecting hobby after all, so the artwork does matter to me (and modern artworks tend to be awful IMO... e.g. Arrow releases).
