This may be common knowledge to fans of the film, but Ebert's review is a pretty interesting read as he describes how the theater was packed with 10 year olds who left with tears in their eyes!

On the bright side, Night of the Living Dead was originally paired in the US with Dr. Who and the Daleks, so you certainly got your quarter's worth back then!

Yep, pretty famous article by Ebert, published in Readers Digest.
I happen to agree with the article. NotLD had no business being on a kiddie matinee double bill(!).

Also, Ghidrah, The Three Headed Monster, and, according to the "Studies in the Horror Film" book on NotLD, it played at the Mount Holly theater in New Jersey on a double bill with... King Kong Escapes. Hell of a double feature!Ivan Drago wrote:On the bright side, Night of the Living Dead was originally paired in the US with Dr. Who and the Daleks, so you certainly got your quarter's worth back then!
